Continuing from Y/N and Aunts argument

Y/N had walked off

________

I walk toward the police station, protestors outside rioting. There were signs and chants, "Death for Corey Cunningham" they hollered. I managed to squeeze past them and into the police station.

The station was fairly quiet considering the noise coming from outside. I stepped up to the front desk.

"I'd like to see Corey...Corey Cunningham" I said with my voice lowered. At first the Officer laughed until he realized I wasn't laughing with him.

"You ain't one of them protestors..right?" the Officer questioned me, "No sir" I replied.

"You got 5 minutes"

________

POV Corey

I sat in my own salutary cell.
The bed was hard as rock and it was cold. They didn't provide heat for criminals like me...

It kinda reminded me of the sewers, before I managed to make it like a home..
Except I wouldn't be able to make this place a home.
I wouldn't be here long enough too.
I'd be getting the death penalty for what I've done..

I sat on my new bed, bouncing my knee up and down anxiously.

I heard the rattling of eyes outside the door, which jerked my focus to watching who was coming through those doors.

Officer: "You got a visitor Cunningham, I'll be standing right out here so don't try anything".

In walked Y/N, I felt my heart skip a beat. I didn't think I'd ever see her again, not until my execution date atleast.
I stood up instantly and ran into her arms.

Y/N: "Corey.." she rubbed my back as I hugged her. The first feeling of warmth since I arrived here.

I looked at her now, her looking back at me. She started to pout feeling my face.

Y/N: "You have bruises..and cuts" she grazed across the bandaid on my face.

Corey: "I don't blame them for not taking it easy on me.." I looked down.

Y/N sighed before speaking again.

Y/N: "Are you okay? Is your cheek okay? Tell me what happened?" she rambled. I took her hands which managed to regain her attention.

Corey: "I'm fine- I'm alright..unsure what happened but I imagine someone knew where to look for me and they sent the police.." I bite my lip.

Y/N had a stern face before she raised up and whispered into my ear.

Y/N: "I'm gonna get you out of here"
I looked at her now and it's like a different person. This one looked determined. It frightened for a moment, but I believed that she get me out of here somehow..

So she sat me down, and told me just to be a good boy while she was gone..with that the Officer escorted her out of my cell..

I believe I love this girl, and seeing what I saw in her eyes just now I think I can confirm.
