This morning Mr Steven called me to come to his house that he has something to tell me I rushed over to his place in panic,I had a strong feeling it was about my admission.
Mama already reassured me that all will be well but I was so anxious I was bitting my nails and returning people's greetings absentmindedly till I got to mr Steven place
"Wumi how are you"he asked as soon as I sat down.
"Am fine" i said looking at his face expecting him to drop the bomb already...oh my God I was sweating.
"I don't think so you look like someone that is about to throw up right now"
"Yea am fine sir seriously "
"Alright if you say so,so.....about your admission I checked the portal today"he said looking down at his hands right then I knew it,I felt that I didn't get the admission.
"I guess I will try again next year"oh my I was so close to tears I just wish I can fly home now and cry my eyes out
"Why would you try again next year"he asked me staring directly at me
"Hmmm because that is the right thing to do or do you think I can't really gain admission"seriously I was going to cry any seconds now
"And why would you think that"A tear rolled down my checks i quickly wipes it away"you don't need to try again next year because you got the admission!!!!!Wumi you are already an undergraduate!!!!!"
did I hear that well?
"Are you for real now?"I saw the big smile on his face then I knew it I got the admission
"Yaaaaaaaay,oh my God"I started screaming and shouting after all the jumping and screaming ended Mr Steven pulled me into a big hug
"Am so proud of you Wumi"
And I just smiled like a fool.

          Mama was currently singing and dancing ,she just got back and I just gave her the news
"Thank you Jesus,what did I tell you Ajoke you?"
"You told me i will get the admission"I said smiling
"Thank You Jesus,my daughter is going to the university !!!!"i just stared at Mama smiling
Mama started singing and dancing again and I joined her.

       I was currently at Lola's house and she was crying,like real crying I was trying my best not to cry right now.
"Lola stop now"
"Wumi you don't understand,am going to miss you,who will be my friend now,you know you are my only friend"I hugged my friend
"You know you can always call me and I will be home every now and then now"
"You will forget me am very sure of that"she  said looking really hopeless.
"Am promising you LoLa that won't happen trust me"she looked at me hopefully.
"If you say so,but am really happy for you,you said so and you made sure you fulfill your dreams am so proud of you"am crying now
"Thank you,and don't forget to tell me everything that goes on around here"
"I won't"we were both crying now.
"See whenever you and Akani get married I will be here to support you"
"Sure!!I love you oremi" Lola said staring deep into my soul with her teary eyes.
"I love you too" and we hugged each other for a very long time.

      I can't believe am finally leaving this village,I can't believe something fresh and beautiful is about to start in my life,I can't believe am leaving Mama and Lola,I can't believe am going to the bigger world with lot of people from different walk of life.
I can't believe I will become a stranger and In a new place like have never had that feeling before.
No turning back now Wumi my bags are packed now,Mama spent her whole day frying meat and fish,Mama will never disappoint.
In the morning my Father's brother will come and pick me up,Wow I can't believe this.
Am worried about mama she will feel seriously lonely,When my dad died when I was still young I was the only one with mama now am going I knew Mama will be feeling lonely already but she didn't say a word,my mother was a very strong woman and I really respect her and am going to make her proud but seriously I can't believe this.
