I am in Hotel Bristol. The war hurt our lives, but Mother denies it. She is wrong. She is wrong about many things. Arthur wished me the best, but he spoke with such a look in his eyes that he knew I won't survive with the little money I have. I don't even know if you have gotten these letters, but if you have, at least let me know you are alive. I have lost too much to lose you, too.
