Chapter 6

Kid and Storm!?

A Mission Finally for Our Friend Kayli.

Well we all stood there for what seemed like an hour. Then Soul finally spoke up. “Kid, you were going to say something?” He said in a taunting tone.

“Soul, give him a break. It took you a minute too, ya know.” I said defending Kid.

“He is right I need to spit it out. Or else I might explode.” Kid said looking down at his feet.

“I’m really confused on what’s going on here.” Storm said looking at me for help. I shrugged back I couldn’t tell her; it would ruin everything.

“Ok, Storm, well I’m in love with you. I should have just told you, but it was hard to do that. Any way Soul told Kayli that he loved her so I thought I could, and I’m glad I did.” Kid said, blushing and looking like he might pass out at any time.

“Um…really?” Storm asked. She looked surprised and scared.

“Yes, well I see that my feelings aren’t returned.” Kid said looking extremely sad. Aw…I want to give him a hug.

“NO! That’s not it at all. I really like you, but why me? I tackled you.” Storm said looking at Kid.

“Um…you are very nice; don’t let anything bother you; and you’re drop-dead gorgeous.” Kid replied quietly.

“Yay! I love you Kid!!” Storm said in her normal hyper self-way. Then she tackled Kid to the ground hugging him to death.

“That went well, didn’t?” Soul asked me, giving me this adorable smile.

“Yah real well, just as well as this” I said, grabbing his shirt, leaning up and kissing him. Did I just kiss him…yup I did. Oh well I like it.

“Wow that was nice, come here and let’s do that again.” Soul said pulling me into a tight embrace, kissing me again and again.

“Hey you two! Get a room.” Storm yelled. Well she is one to talk.

“Nah but we better get home I have to feed Oscar.” I said looking at Storm and Kid. Aw they are so cute together!

“Yah…feed Oscar and cook dinner.” Soul said giving me a look to say this will continue later.

“Ok…I love you, Kayli! You knew didn’t you?” Storm said hugging me good bye.

“Maybe…yeah I did but I let Kid tell you.” I said walking with Soul out the front door.

“See you guys at school on Monday!” Kid said looking at Storm.

            Soul and I walked back to the apartment; Oscar greeted us. I walked into the kitchen to feed Oscar, and Soul followed me. I turned around and Soul grabbed my waist from behind. “Hey, we have a mission tomorrow with Maka.” Soul said making me sit down.

“Oh. What’s the plan?” I asked as he kissed my neck. That tickles like hell.

“Well we are going to the United States to try to stop the madness, at least slow it down.” Soul said still kissing my neck. “What does that tickle?”

“Ok, where in the US?” I asked. “Yes it does tickle but feels nice.” This hasn’t happened since before he died. It did feel nice.

“In the Midwest, I think in Kansas City.” Soul said messing with my bra strap. “That feels good, so let me do more.”

“Soul you are being dirty, and I’m from Kansas City.” I said, but apparently Soul was too busy undressing me. “Hey why are you taking my clothes off?”

“Because I have plans for you…” Soul replied.  Picking me up and carrying me away to his room.

“Are you even listening to me?” I asked blushing. “We can’t you don’t have protection…”

“Actually I do…what are you scared?” Soul asked as he sat me down on his bed.

“No I’m not. I’m scared of the mission, I am from Kansas City I have a lot of family there. What am I going to do; Maka and you need me…” I said freaking out on the inside.

“It will be fine; you changed a lot with your looks since you have been here.” Soul said,” and you are beautiful.”

“I guess you are right. We most likely need a good night’s sleep…” I replied looking at him. I want to but I can’t not yet. I think he understands that. Hopefully.

“Ok, I wasn’t going to Kayli it’s too soon. Do you just want to stay in here with me tonight?” Soul said in soothing voice, while giving me a hug.

“Yah, I will and I will be back I still have to feed Oscar. Do you want some dinner?” I said walking out of his room.

“Yes that would be nice; Maka comes home tomorrow.” Soul said getting up and following me into the living room.

“Great I missed her being around.” I said.

“Yah me too, well back to what I was doing…” Soul said giving me that look.

“Maybe after dinner, you can kiss me.” I said being coy, I cooked dinner and feed Oscar. Then Soul and I walked back to his bedroom.

“Kayli, come here.” Soul said, pulling me into a hug. Then he pulled up the cover and I rested my head on his chest.

“Hey Soul, why do you like me?” I asked, wondering back to when Kid told Storm about why he liked her.

“Well I like you because you are you. Plus you are beautiful, smart, funny, and have really good cooking.” Soul replied looking down at me. He turned his head and gave me the longest, sweetest kiss a girl could ask for…that I didn’t ask for but I needed.

“Thank you, Soul I needed that.” I said yawning. “Well I get to fall asleep next to the person that I love.” This is nice.

            The next morning we got a surprise…and not a good one. Well I was in a dead sleep, next thing I know someone is screaming in Soul’s room. “What the hell!” I said being very pissed.

“It’s just Blair.” Soul said to me and then to Blair, “Go the hell away, we are trying to sleep.”

“Why is that woman in your bed, that’s my spot.” Blair said pouting like a child.

“Well Blair, this is my new spot. Plus Soul is mine and not yours.” I said even more ticked than before.

“Kayli calm down.” Soul said wrapping his arms around me.

“Well then little girl, do you want me to tell him your little secret.” Blair said with a smirk.

“There is no way that you know about it so shut the hell up. Before I kill you.” I said. Shit I’m starting to lose it. I can’t let him find out.

“Blair you are lying Kayli doesn’t have any secrets.” Soul said.

“Why is everyone yelling?” Maka asked. When did she get here?
