Chapter 3

A Storm on the Horizon

Will Kid find a Friend or Enemy?

“You don’t get your coat back. Tehe!” Patty yelled back to me.

“Dammit Patty just give it back. I will not wear I just want the coat.” I cried. Man this girl can run.

“Ok but you promise not to wear it the rest of today?” She said. Slowing down, and letting me catch up. If she wouldn’t have stopped I’d be lying close to death in the road.

“I promise not to wear it.” I said out of breath.

            Then a rumbling noise came from ahead, the seven of us looked up. I was scared of what I would see.  Then over the hill, came a girl. What a girl of all things why a girl? Well this girl was headed straight for Death the Kid. Man it sucks to be him, cuz he might die in a second or less.

“Kid!! Look out!” I yelled but to no avail. It was too late, we might as well be planning a funeral today. Well he  got tackled but that was only the start…because Kid caught the Love Bug Disease. He was a goner. In the meantime the girl was wailing on his face. For what reason I have no idea.

“You stupid idiot! I’m going to kill you! You destroyed my life!” The girl screamed. Kid just laid there and took it in a daze.

I finally snapped out of it, and got on my feet charged the girl and wrestled her to the ground to let Kid get out of the way. “Whoa, lady you need to calm down. What did Kid do to you?”

“His father spilt up my family, killed my parents, and took my sister away. So I’m taking it out on his family.” She said.

“Um, well don’t kill Kid for something his father did. I’m sure Kid would have never done that if he was in his dad’s shoes.” I soothingly said in a quiet calm voice. Man I hoped that worked.

            It did work she calmed down enough to talk to Maka and me. We calmly talked her into coming back Maka and Soul’s apartment.  All eight of us walked back in silence. I couldn’t wait to get back to Oscar.

“So, what is your name?” I asked the girl.

“My name is Stormy Sky, what’s yours?” Stormy asked.

“I’m Kayli Wolfe, and this is Soul, Black Star, Maka, Patty, Liz, and Death the Kid.” I introduced all of us. Kid looked a little pink; oh I was going to have so much fun messing with him for this. Soul wouldn’t meet my gaze. I’m wonder why he won’t look at me.

“So you are a weapon.” said Maka, very randomly at that.

“Yes, how did you know that?” Stormy asked.

“I can read soul wavelengths, and tell what kind of soul yours is. I can also tell if your soul is in good condition.” Maka said looking nervous after saying that.

“Ok, then…” Stormy mumbled.

“Well then Kid and Stormy need to settle things between them and become friends soon.” I said walking through the doorway, everyone else but Kid and Stormy followed me into the hallway.

“Wait, Kayli why did you…wait you didn’t…damn you Kayli Wolfe! I will get you for this!” Kid yelled.

“Um…you will get her for what?” Stormy asked confused.

“Oh nothing, it’s fine so I guess we need to fix what my father messed up.” Kid said looking around avoiding her stare.

“Yes please…I don’t know what my family did to have this happen but it is caused me so much pain. I have no idea how much my sister went through I think I wouldn’t even recognize her anymore.” Stormy said looking at the ground about to cry.

“Well I will talk to my dad tomorrow and see what I can do to find her.” Kid stated determined.

            So they made an agreement that Stormy wouldn’t tackle Kid for that reason again. The others and I came back in and I got punched by Kid for doing that to him. The day ended with Stormy staying at our place on the couch. Kid and the others left. It was an eventful day.

            The next morning my first day at the DWMA, I was nervous. I got dressed and put on my trench coat and combat boots. Soul and Maka were waiting for me at the door. We walked together to school and into our class room. Stormy had gone with Kid to the death room. We went to our seats. Professor Stein noticed me and introduced Miss Marie and himself.

“Hello Kayli Wolfe, it’s nice to finally have you in class with us.” Stein said looking at me like he wanted to dissect my body. What a creeper…I thought my old teachers were creepy.

“Hey well I better get back to my se-eeat.” I said feeling odd.

            Will my day be horrible, or will it be ok? Will I survive this class, or be dissected by Professor Stein. What’s going on with Soul, he didn’t even make a smart remark to me. What is wrong with me, what is this feeling…I am so confused and lost. How can I fix this? Can I? Damn what is going on here! I’m never going to get this right.

“What am I going to do!” I yelled. ”Damn that was supposed to be in my head, sorry for interrupting class…” Why do I always embarrass myself? Oh well I will figure it out some way I guess.

“Um…Kayli why did you yell?” Soul asked.

“No reason, I’m just going crazy…hehe” I laughed his question off. This might be the death of me, this stupid feeling.
