On the way to the institute everything was quiet and awkward. No one spoke. It was until we stepped foot into the institute.
"Guards. Kill Isabella" Alaric announces making everyones head turn.
"What?" I say with fear in my eyes
"You can't do that Alaric. She helped us" nico says defending me
"No" Ares simply just says
"You boys are fond of this Down worlder?" Alaric questions a bit annoyed
"She's nothing like them!" Eve shouts
"Do not shout at me" Alaric says getting in front of Eve's face.
"Get anywhere close to her again and I swear to God Alaric I will kill you" I say as I push him away from Eve.
The guards come walking up to me but before they could do anything Ares and Nico began fighting them. Knocking them to the ground until they were unconscious.
"She stays here" Ares says blankly with zero emotion across his face
"You fancy her?" A woman says walking up to us and standing next to Alaric
She had Nicos features. Her hair was brunette and wavy. Her eyes dark brown, her skin acne free. Her outfit was tight on her body defining every feature she had. Whether that was her hip dips or her stomach. She was beautiful.
"Mom" nico says glaring at her
"Hola Chico" she says with a smile on her face (translation: hello/hey boy)
She looks over at me then back at Ares.
"Margaret" Ares says as his eyes go dark
"Answer the question boy" she simply states looking at Ares
"That's none of your concern" he responds
"Ah well. I believe it is. It s against the rules for a shadow Hunter to fall for a down worlder."
"And what was dad? A werewolf" Nico says
"That is different"
"No, it really isn't. I'm part shadow Hunter too you know"
She simply just laughs at us and drops to the floor.
Dramatic
"Mom?" Nico says worried and rushes over to her.
Her eyes begin to roll back and Nico quickly rushes back to us. Her body began to bend in a 'u' shape. Her skin was pale, her veins began to pop. She was laughing evilly. Something took over her body.
We had to get away.
"Run!" Alaric says running into the panic room and making sure we all got in safely then closing the door behind us.
