When Does It Goes Away (Laurmani)

"Do you think mama is gonna wake up soon?" Chris asked after awhile while they were all sitting in the waiting room of the hospital.

It's been quite since they got there and it's been over two hours since Clara was rushed into emergency surgery and the doctors haven't said anything yet to the family and why she needed surgery just it was bad.

Lauren looks up from her hands and over at her twin before getting up and walking out. She needed to smoke but she knew she couldn't leave the hospital especially in this bad situation. Michael has been arrested for assault on his ex wife and child abused but that wasn't enough for her she wanted him dead six feet under dead.

"Mani will you go check on her please?" Her mother asked her as she moves to sit next to Chris and rubs his back softly.

Normani gets up and walks out to find Lauren who was out in the hallway not too far from the waiting room . "Let's go for a walk." The brunette beauty says to her as she grabs her hand and pulls her towards the elevator.  She knew they wasn't on good terms but no matter what Lauren was her best friend and will always be.

The Latina holds her hand and gets into the elevator as she presses the button to the cafeteria.

Neither of them has said a word during the ride on the elevator and it's been 10 minutes since they have sat down at a table.

"You don't have to talk about what happened I just don't want you to be by yourself and I know you are mad about what happened between us earlier and I'm sorry." She says seriously while looking over at her. "What I said to you was dead wrong and mean and hurtful and you don't deserve to be treated like that from me or anyone else and I'm sorry." She says truthfully. "I'm not ready to have a baby with you or Kyle and especially not Kehlani but if I had to choose between one of you all it would be you."

Lauren leaned back in her chair and looks over at her and shakes her head. "We both know I have a weak pull out game and that night I was super drunk but you wanted sex that night as much as I wanted it and you still didn't stop me but it's okay Normani because I'm gonna do what I need to do and take care of my children and not be a fuck up like Michael and if our baby ends up being intersex I'm gonna love her and not give up on her just because she is special." She says while wiping her fallen tears.

Normani really haven't thought it through yet was she gonna have this baby or was she gonna get an abortion. She wasn't ready to be a mother hell she hadn't really thought about college yet but here she was sitting in the cafeteria of the hospital with her best friend who got her knocked up but she knows her parents will disown her if she got one and Lauren already has a baby that she is taking care of and not to mention Dinah Jane.

"Lauren?"

Lauren hears her name and looks up at Dinah who just walked in and rushes over to her girlfriend and hugs her. "I'm so sorry I couldn't get here soon my mom was tripping about watching McKenzie and she heard about what happened at your house and...."

"Shhh... it's okay I'm fine everything is fine okay baby." She says kissing her forehead before looking into her eyes to let her know she was telling the truth.

Normani cleared her throat before standing up. "I'm gonna give you two some space and I'll see you back upstairs in the waiting room." She says walking away before they could even answer her.

Both Lauren and Dinah Jane looked at each other for a brief second. "Um that was weird." The blonde says quietly but mostly to herself as she thinks she probably interpreted them. She knows they have a history together but Lauren is her girlfriend and she knows she can trust her.
