"Lord Grekins has long come back home but he doesn't seem to mind your absence, my lady." Veena, Rebecca's lady-in-waiting, grimly spoke.
"Why does it matter, Veena? He never cared before. He won't now either. Anyways, can you fetch me wine, dear?" Rebecca replied nonchalantly as if her father's dismissive behavior toward her wasn't something she wasn't used to.
Veena sadly served Rebecca a goblet of wine. Her heart ached for the beautiful young royal lady. The world was cruel not only to Rebecca but to her late mother also.
