Keeper, who was the last messenger of the chain, handed Feather the bracelets.

"He said we're all storming the Palace the day after tomorrow, and to grab every single Creature in the Forest who wants to do their part. Us and the Hidden Warriors will help with that. You all just lay low, we can't risk losing you to Coyotes. He also says that Pirate won't have many meetings, so it'll just be the guards and maybe the staff," she reported.

Feather nodded, slipping the bracelets into her satchel. "Thank you so much, Keeper. We'll be there. We really appreciate it, seriously."

Keeper grinned. "Our pleasure. The other messengers are already spreading the word to the Forest, who'll take it to their Villages and round up anyone they can."

Feather's heartbeat quickened. "We're about to do this. Like, actually do this."

"Birch would be so proud," Sage said, leaning on her. "Cardinal too! He would say, 'I always knew you'd do it, Little Bird!'"

Feather laughed, resting her head on Sage's. Sage slung an arm around Feather's shoulder.

Keeper laughed and highfived them both, utterly befuddled on who White Mist Gal was, but didn't say anything, then disappeared down the mountain.

All four of the Jickeys squealed together, bouncing around in circles.

"WE'RE ACTUALLY DOING THIS!" Feather cried.

Sage whooped, Acorn laughing, Moss joining in.

"This is epic," he said, unable to contain his smile. "We're like. Only three things away from going home. Storm the Palace, kill Pirate, and make the Orb do its thing."

Acorn giggled with Sage.

"This is amazing. Do you remember when we all pretty much hated eachother? I can't believe that ever happened. I can't believe we haven't known eachother since birth," Acorn mused.

Feather laughed, hard. "We did hate eachother, oh my gosh. That's ridiculous!"

"I wish Thorn was here, it doesn't feel complete without him," Sage said with a slight frown.

"Equity too," Moss said. "You'd really like her, trust me. She's right up your alley."

Sage grinned.

"Her too! I'm so excited. WE'RE TAKING DOWN PIRATE!" she announced to the entire world, leaping into the air in victory, then landing back down and bouncing in circles.

Acorn joined in, grabbing her front paws so they were both bouncing in circles together on their hind legs.

Feather laughed, shaking with excitement. Moss jumped on her, knocking them both to the dirt. He wriggled around in the dirt like a gleeful slug.

"It's almost time, it's really almost time," Feather realized. "Holy Stars. Holy Nether. Oh Tempus. Oh my gosh," she whispered.

The others whooped, laughing uncontrollably. It felt wonderful now, and Feather couldn't wait for all six of them to be together for the first time.

She unfurled her wings, still laying on the ground.

Sage flopped next to her, sprawling out in all directions. Moss sat up slightly, and Acorn sat down next to him, twining their tails.

"Very soon, the Coyotes shall rule no longer," she breathed.
