Chapter 2

Isaac had read the letter that Kane had sent which had arrived early in the morning, he almost laughed out as he imagined how delirious Kane must have been to write him a bloody letter It was not like he expected him to send him a message via email. Isaac wrote back to Kane seeing as he agreed to co-operate.

By noon Kane had arrived at Isaac's pack alongside his beta, Keaton, two pack warriors and Aurora who was very happy to see her mate. Kane walked entered into the large building which housed majority of the pack, the stares he received from the pack members didn't bother him at all.

Isaac had been notified of his arrival and waited in his office. Kane was begrudgingly ushered into Isaac's office although he felt uneasy being in such a small space with a man he had called an enemy for all of his life but it was for the best after all. Only Kane was allowed into Isaac's office while the two warriors stood by the door and Aurora ran off to LaLaLand with her mate.

He met Isaac sitting down in a two seater couch and an identical replica was opposite it with a center table, a perfect spot for business negotiation. When Isaac noticed Kane walk in he stood to his 6'5 height which towered over Kane far more than he would like.

Isaac stretched his hand out for a handshake which Kane would've ignored but Isaac said

"Com'on we're trying to form an agreement the least you could do is to shake my hands after all you did write the letter" Kane shook his hand curtly but Isaac lingered and stroked his palm with his pointer finger while staring heatedly at Kane, Kane instantly pulled his hand away pissed off "What do you think you're Alpha Isaac"

"All I did was shake your hand Alpha Kane there's no need to get all agitated" Kane rolled his eyes which Isaac thought was cute and smiled more if that was even more possible. Kane sat opposite from Isaac

"From my letter you would understand the reason for my sudden visit, I want us to be able to co-operate for the sake of Aurora"

"Okay, and what do you propose"

"I think it is time to put our egos behind us for our pack's benefit, your beta has chosen my member's daughter as his mate and it is not good when mates are kept from each other" Kane paused "We should form an alliance" He stared at Isaac waiting for any type of reaction but got none

"Yes I think we should" Kane was surprised Isaac answered without a second thought "but what do we do about no man's land" No man's land was the land which their ancestors fought about, they hadn't yet decided who got to claim it between the two packs because it would have eventually led to war and no one else could claim it seeing as two packs could possibly fight for it so it was referred to as no man's land

"You smell so damn good it's mouth watering at this point" Isaac whispered in Kane's ear which almost sent him flying but Isaac's hand had snaked around his mid-section, he hadn't noticed when Isaac stood up to sit beside him. Isaac purred deeply into Kane's ear, which was what Alphas usually did to either soothe or seduce their lover, Kane shoved Isaac who didn't budge "What the fuck..."

Kane words were immediately smothered by tender lips meeting his, he was in shock for a moment till he realized what was happening and tried pushing away Isaac but the muscle of a man had no intention of letting go but instead he slowly rocked his hips into Kane and that's when Kane felt it. He punched alpha Isaac and stood up, keeping distance between the two of them

"I kinda deserved that" Isaac said stretching his jaw which hurt like a bitch

"I don't know what the fuck you are doing and I certainly do not like this Alpha Isaac if we were to form an alliance, whatever this is, has to stop" Kane was about to stomp out but halfway he turned to look at him and said "I'll be back same time tomorrow to finish the rest of our conversation when you've hopefully learnt some common courtesy"

Kane left the office shutting the door loudly, Isaac couldn't help but grin, although, he had definitely crossed the line but Isaac couldn't resist it, Kane looked so clueless when he was lost in thought and his scent and lips were just too damn inviting. Seeing him briefly for only two years drove him mad, their only form of communication was intense eye contact courtesy of Isaac.

Kane had snapped at his beta alongside his warriors and Aurora after they had continued questioned him on why he was angry so the journey back home was quiet. Once Kane reached his office he because livid, he knew Isaac was petty but not petty enough to randomly grope him, kane could still feel his lips on his and he wiped his mouth in contempt.

The next day Kane had arrived like yesterday as he had said with the same people as yesterday but it didn't stop the stares from Isaac's pack members as if it was their first time seeing him. Kane stepped into Isaac's office and instead of closing the door he left it wide open incase Isaac tried anything funny. Little did he know

Isaac did not seat on the couch like yesterday but instead he sat in the chair by his desk which made look more powerful than he was already. When Isaac noticed Kane belligerence in closing the door he almost laughed aloud.

Isaac arose from his chair "Alpha Kane I'm glad we could meet again" he motioned for Kane to sit in the chair opposite him. Kane sat down and nodded his head hopeful that yesterday's misdemeanor doesn't hinder the progress he wants to make.

"So what do you suggest we do concerning no man's land" Isaac asked

"Since we do not have daughters or son's to marry off to, to strengthen our bond I believe it is best we use both our packs resources to build something that both our packs would benefit from"

"What kind of set up can both our packs benefit from"

"A pharmaceutical building considering that we both have small medical facilities and many more to be added once we consult an architect"

Isaac nodded "I see you have done some extensive research"

"Yes infact I had gotten my hands on  the map for of the territory markings"

"Really? Let me see" Isaac stood up and went to stand by Kane who also stood up and unfurled the old brown paper which he brought in "Wow it's been too damn long I saw an original map of territory markings" Isaac leaned in closer to Kane than he realized to take a closer look at the map and in that moment Kane looked at Isaac, as cliche as it sounds their noses were touching, Isaac couldn't resist the opportunity, he stuck his thumb between Kane's teeth which Kane instinctively bit down on drawing blood but Isaac didn't notice his lips enveloping kane, kissing him fervently Isaac used the opportunity to stick his tongue in his mouth savouring every bit of mint he tasted.

Kane on the other hand was shocked at first then struggled to pull Isaac away from him but now he struggled to breathe seeing that Isaac had no intention of pulling away and he couldn't bite Isaac since his thumb was wedged between his teeth, saliva pooled in his mouth as he felt himself go light headed, Isaac finally pulled away. It took a whole 20 seconds before he regained his bearings

"I told you not to pull that shit on me again" Kane retorted angrily but Isaac didn't reply, Kane noticed that Isaac's eyes darkened with lust and he was giving bedroom eyes to Kane, he realized there was no point talking to him and he just left.

I'm sorry if you think Isaac's too forward, put into perspective that this was originally a short smut filled book but I changed the direction. And yes before you ask lazy author=short chapter, don't find fault in my math.
