Chapter 4

Kane had arrived back at his pack and told his beta to disperese the message that he would hold a pack meeting at the pack house by 6pm urging anyone who wasn't there to tell the others.

Kane stood in front of the packhouse stairs addressing everyone's doting eyes on him

"As you all know there have been many visits to the obsidian pack over the past few weeks" murmmurs erupted but with the glare of an eye from kane kept everyone silent

"We have to acknowledge there have been some tension on both sides for years with each side being afraid of a war that might outbreak at any given time but we have put our differences aside for the sake of our Aurora" Kane nodded to the now tearful Aurora

"I'm proud to announce to you that we have resolved our conflict and decided to share no man's land" Abrupt cheers and whistling erupted, everyone seemed to be happy about the new decision

"And this calls for a celebration which we would be hosting 3 days from now so we must begin preparation from tomorrow, have a nice evening everyone, you're dismissed"

The crowd of people dispersed but Aurora immediately jumped to hug her alpha tightly "Be careful now Aurora, I don't want your mate to smell my scent on you" Aurora giggled releasing Kane "Thank you Alpha, you're truly the best alpha anyone could ask for" she said excitedly before leaving.

Kane soon took back to his office, collapsing on his chair with a sigh.

Kane and his pack spent  the next few days preparing decorations and food for the arrival of Isaac and his pack.

The day had finally arrived at 4pm sharp Isaac and a third quater of his pack arrived at Kanes party. Kane braced himself with a fake smile greeting a star-eyed Isaac with his blinding smile.

"Welcome to my pack Alpha Isaac"

"Thank you so much for inviting us, we brought something to show our appreciation"

Soon Aluminium trays which covered deserts where brought out and kanes pack members helped to put them on the table along with their finger foods.

Formalities had been exchanged and soon the crowd has mixed together after noting how Aurora had practically jumped on her mate

Isaac had been mingling for a while now but he was more excited to have a real conversation with Kane who was clad in a plaid t-shirt and some levi jeans which hugged his ass perfectly that isaac was almost salivating at. Isaac scanned the crowd for kane and found him in a corner, nursing a beer in his hands and having a conversation with two of his female pack members, Anna and Isabelle.

Isaac was pissed he had never seen Kane smile at him the way he was smiling while talking with them. He brushed through the crowd making his way to Kane hopefully sending signals to Anna and Isabelle to 'leave' they had noticed Isaac glare at them and quickly made excuses to leave Kane who was confused.

Isaac stood in front of kane whos smile had dramatically dropped, but Isaac smile brightened

"Oh its you" Kane took a swig of his beer

"You look extremely good tonight" Isaac said while obviously taking a good, long eyeful of him which had irritated Kane who took notice of Isaac checking him out

"You know someday I'm going to break those pretty white teeth of yours" kane nodded at his teeth which was a very bright white which gave him uncanny vibes and they were straight too

"You think my teeth are pretty" Isaac interpreted, which earned an eyeroll from Kane which Isaac thought was cute "Hey let's announce it now" Isaac suggested which kane nodded to as he quickly finished his beer and dumped the bottle.

Kane and Isaac made their way to the make-shift stage their joint presence electrifying the crow. Isaac grabbed everyone's attention and spoke loudly "Good evening everyone! I hope you are enjoying the party, we have an announcement to share."

"As you already know we plan to share no man's land-" brief cheers erupted as Kane laughed quieting it down a bit " -we are also proud to announce that we would be building a secure playground, a me-" Kane paused briefly when he felt a daring hand, grope his butt but continued nonetheless "a med-bay and a general hall." Kane's eyes flashed with anger, but he maintained his composure, quietly stomped on Isaac's boot clad feet which made him retract his hand quickly as his smiled faltered briefly in pain

"We would expect everyone to work together along with experts so it would be completed without delay, thanks for listening and enjoy the party." Isaac finished. The crowd erupted into cheers and the party continued in full swing.

Kane dragged Isaac to a secluded corner, his voice low and menacing "What the fuck do you think you're doing out there? Are you fucking crazy or is this your way of fucking me over."

Isaac eyes were trained on Kane's lips and took a step closer to Kane, their distance too close "My hands slipped, my bad I wanted to hold your waist"

Kane's cheek tinged a pale pink too light to show on his tan skin.

"You're pushing boundaries, Isaac."

Isaac's eyes sparkled mischievously.

"I'm just getting started."

Kane's anger boiled over.

"Stop playing games."

Isaac's voice dropped.

"I'm dead serious."

Their faces inches apart, tension crackled. Kane sighed exasperatedly, walking away with the realization that nothing was getting through Isaac's thick skull.
