My heart stopped. Arden was in trouble. My brother was in trouble.

Our eyes were still holding their connection, so I saw how his expression contorted into a worried one the moment he saw me in distress. I needed to leave right away.

Taking a step back, I did my best to remain in balance since my legs felt weak. My eyes fixed on his black ones once more and his brows frowned.

"Your parents are already on the way." The guard said, and I snapped out. By the look on his face, he must have caught on that something must have gone terribly wrong.

"Let's go," I ordered the guards and passed by him. He took my arm in his pale hand, but I yanked my arm off his grip and pushed him hard. There wasn't time for this shit.

Fuck him!

I'd have to get him later. If I rejected him now, I'd be in too much pain to fight if I needed to.

"Get the fuck out of my way." An anger filled growl escaped me before I ran out of the bar and got in the car that waited for me at the bar's entrance. I didn't even look back at him. Once inside the car, the driver took off, and I took my phone out. My hand shook as I typed my grandma's number. The phone rang twice before grandma Sage answered.

"He's with us. Arjun was sleeping, so we didn't wake him up. We are at your parents' house. John is here as well. Don't worry and go help your brother." My grandmother said as if she could read my mind.

"Call me if anything happens, OK?" I nodded to myself and hung the phone. As soon as the call ended, I made the next call. The phone didn't even ring once before she answered.

"Do you want me to go with you?" Oma sounded worried.

"No, take care of Bloodstone. I need you here. I want you to call me right away if anything happens, you hear me? Also, send more guards to my parents' house. Arjun will be there with my grandma." I ordered.

"Yes, Alpha."

"Put all important stuff on hold for now until further notice. I'll keep you posted."

"Yes, Alpha," Oma replied one last time, and I hung the call. The driver took the exit to the highway and sped up the car. Not even ten minutes in and I heard a loud voice scream in my head.

—Get the fuck out of your car, now!

Dominic mind linked me and I reacted immediately.

"Stop the car!" I commanded, but the driver didn't stop. I heard the sound of the brakes pumping repeatedly.

"I can't!" He screamed, terrified, not being able to stop it.

Oh, fuck!

"Fuck this! Drive the car to the side of the road and jump off on three." He did, and as soon as the tires rolled over the grass, I counted.

"One." We both got closer to the doors.

"Two." We opened them

"Three." We jumped off, shifting in mid-air. He rolled over twice before getting back on his feet and continued running. He was hurt, so he had to stop. I had landed on Jules' feet and ran as fast as we could. Behind us, the car crashed against a tree and caught fire. Seconds after, it exploded.

—How did you know?

We linked to Emmett.

—My car was tampered with, as well. Are you Ok?

—Yes, are we being attacked?

—It's what it looks like. I'm not far from you. Let's meet ahead.
