"It's a new day tomorrow, sunshine, and I want you to make the most of it, like you always do." Skeppy's mother would give him these words every night before her son would fall into his slumber, there was a sense of comfort in her words that made the young 15 year old Prince feel warm and safe, and he enjoyed that sense.
"I will mom, I love you so much, goodnight." These two sentences would be spoken without fail, no night would be complete without those two sentences, to Skeppy and Willow, his mother, those sentences showed their love for eachother, the two would never love eachother less, only more.
...The thunder crashed as the blood red skies illuminated the dead world underneath it, all dainty flowers were gone, no weeds, no sight of life, everything was gone, the corruption of the Darkwatch had infected the once thriving Diamond Kingdom - the one that Skeppy would soon rule over. The blood covered sky would reveal the silhouettes of Darkwatch creatures that towered over the forests, then they would be shadowed again after the ordeal, the trees only had a few remaining leaves, all of the leaves would fall, some slowly, some rapidly, but it didn't matter how fast they fell, as soon as they hit the ground, they would turn black and sit on the dead grass. The land was dead silent, only every now and then the low pitched moans and grunts from the creatures would be heard, but most of the time it would be hidden behind the loud thundering in the air. It may be worth mentioning that even the strongest and bravest warriors have fallen victim to the growing power of the Darkwatch, and with every attempt at ending it, it would always result in one or more deaths, therefore giving all creatures and monsters more powers.
A clang pierced the air and it echoed through the field, a steel sword had cut it's way through the main target of a wooden training doll, specifically made for fighting, a hand yanked the sword from it's place in the doll and some of the wood chipped off, Skeppy let out a sigh and wiped the sweat from his forehead, he tried to flick his hair back a bit, but it ended up falling back down, he quietly groaned and rested his body on his bed, he began to get comfortable as he yawned softly.
Skeppy was now a 22 year old male, 3 years until he would take the crown and rule over the Diamond Kingdom, or what was left of it. The corruption of the land started back when he was 15 years old, 7 years of pain and torment, Skeppy and the Diamond civilisation had to hide in shadows in order to not be seen by the Darkwatch creatures, the civilisation tried to think of ways to stop the corruption, but with every plan they made, it was always destined to fail, Skeppy couldn't even keep track of how many times they'd try to think of a plan, and the best plan they could come up with would fail miserably, and every fail became more uneventful and less shocking - nobody knew what to do anymore, so all they could think of was to hide and try to survive. Sometimes, Skeppy wonders how he hasn't been swallowed whole yet, he nearly was once, he was nearly consumed by one of the very creatures he tried so hard to avoid. Trying to escape the grasp of the creature would leave Skeppy with a massive gash on his arm, and once it had healed, it would keep a scar on his left arm, to him he saw it as a daily reminder of the day he failed - Willow would always have to reassure him that it wasn't his fault, he was only 16 when it happened, he had no prior training experience, and that thing against a helpless 16 year old boy? It was an easy bet to win. He was fearing and struggling for his life, kicking his legs frantically only to fall unconscious, the one weapon he had was broken, a wooden sword he made with Willow when he was 12, he woke up and saw the broken sword, and although it was only one of many things him and his mother created, it left him crying the whole night afterwards, the amount of games he would play with that sword, the countless times he pretended to be a brave Knight in shining armour infront of his best friends, to see one of his most cherished memories destroyed, left him shattered for a few days, him and Willow did manage to fix it, but Skeppy put it in a display case and hung it on his wall, promising to never take it out on a potentially dangerous adventure again.
