✅Her dance (Cyno x reader)[SHORT STORY]

Wandering Matra

It was really hot today, or is it just the usual temperature in the desert? He couldn't remember. It's been few days since Cyno left Academiya. Nobody searched for him wich surprised him a little, but it wasn't a good thing either.

He sat down near Oasis to rest a little before continuing his journey. Where was he even going? He didn't know the answer well himself.

A sound of singing soon came to his ears. What a beautiful singing it was. He turned to direction of the voice to find a group of people and three caravans passing by.

Walking by one of sumpter beasts was a girl. He asumed she was the one singing, he then observed a little more and noticed everyone else was in caravans shilded from the sun.

Cyno decidedto follow them a little further, it seemed a bit odd to him, girl looked way weaker then some men,yet she was only one out on the sun.

They soon got to another oasis and settled down when all the tents were out everyone got out.

Some little children also got out and started dancing, that girl joined them. She looked really beautiful to Cyno and he couldn't resist to talk with her anymore.

And so he started apfoaching the group. Children were first ones to notice him.

They then came up to the girl      "Hey Y/n! Look someone is coming!" When she turned around Cyno was finnaly able to fully see her face and features.

Her (eye color) e/c eyes looked st him curiously. She fully turned towards him while children went behind her, but for some reason she didn't take protective stand.

"Hello! May I help you with something? I you need water I'll be glad to give it to you." She said with am innocent smile on her face.

Cyno stared at her, then her comfused look gave him the hint he stared for too long.

"Yeah... I'm here on regular patrol in the desert, and this is usualy where I stop to drink some water... My name is Cyno."

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Y/n, I'll get you some water!" Girl smiled and ran away leaving Cyno in shock,she was so nice.

Cyno was left with kids looking at him, he wasn't really skilled with children, needless to say, he had no idea what to say so she just dtared at them.

Y/n came back giving Cyno big bottle of fresh water. He thanked her as kids left and they stayed alone.

"If you don't mind me asking.. You said you were on usual patrol. What is your work what you have to patrol over the desert?"

"I, work for the academiya,I'm one of the matras." He explained in not much detail.

"Really? What do matras do? I'm not originaly from here so, I'm curious of what people like here." Her smile never left her face.

'She's really innocent.. or foolish.' Cyno thought.

"Well.. we're some kind of police, we protect Dendro Archon and Academiya, is something can harm them, we find it and destroy it... At least we were suposed to do that..."

"What do you mean by were ?"
Y/n asked really intruiged. Maybe she could ask him to help her.

"Well... I'm not really one of Matras anymore, they were hiding something and I didn't like it so I left."

"Oh... I see."She said trying to keep her voice like normal, but Cyno heard a slight change.

"Is, everything ok?"
He looked at her curious as to why she was sudenly so sad.

"Nothing big, I was hoping since you're a matra, you could help us get to place called 'Grand Bazaar', my friend Nilou works there and she invited us."

'She's lying.'

"Well, I can accompany you there, Academiya wants to keep the thing about me a secret so they won't tell anyone I don't have authority."

Her eyes sparkled as he said that. "Oh thank you so much!" She huged him to wich his cheeks turned red.

'Why aren't you telling me the whole deal?'
