My life has been a lot different. My mom would cry once in a while, and she also keeps saying that he's dead. I don't get why she's not keeping her spirits up. My sister and I are trying to convince our selves that our father is still alive. But it's now December 14, 2012, and he is still missing. He went missing on December 1, 2012.

"Amy!!" I hear from down stairs from my mother. I drop my phone on my desk and come running down the stairs.

"Yes mom?" I answered, walking into the kitchen.

"I want you to take peaches for a walk" Peaches is our family pet dog. She is a German Shepard.

"Sure mom" as I grabbed the dog's leash. I hooked her up to the leash. Then grabbed a coat and put my shoes on and went out the front door.

We walked down the driveway an onto the street, it was a very cold winter day. I live in a very small neighborhood, so it's easy to just take a walk. On my street there are a lot of dirt trails. I always go down one trail but today I decided to go down I different trail this time. I arrived at the entrance of the trail with Peaches. It was a dark trail. It kinda looked like a cave made out of trees. I decided to still go down it. I looked around at the trees, and I saw something in the woods that looked like a person farther down the trail than I was.

"Hello!!??!!" I screamed hoping they would hear me. I waiting a couple seconds, nobody answered. The person began to run. I stopped and turned around. The woods went silent. I began to run back to my house with Peaches. But when running down the trail back to my house, peaches stopped.

"C'mon Peaches!! We're going home now!" I said. Peaches just stared at the bush behind us. I got a little creeped out. I tugged on the leash.

"Peaches!!!" I screamed. She wouldn't move. I heard noises coming from the bush. At first I thought it was a squirrel or something but then the noise stopped. Then I heard something else. It sounded like something big rolling down the hill from behind the bush. I began to scream. Peaches finally moved and began to run back home with me. I ran through the front door and unhooked Peaches from her leash. My face was red from running and from being scared.

"How was the walk?" said my mom.

I was speechless.
