Bio: Bone jackals are large, pack hunting species of mustelids native to Exotic Island. They are descendants of few groups of side-striped jackals and black-backed jackals that were brought to Exotic Island and hybridized with each other, forming a new species. Their ancestors managed to survive the nuclear radiation and somehow evolved to be about half the size of a gray wolf, but with the back formed into a high narrow ridge and evolved very powerful jaws in order to crack open bones, like hyenas. They are now found throughout the alpine meadows, semi-deserts, lowlands, scrublands, mountainous plateaus, alpine grasslands, highlands, temperate grasslands, savannas, redwood forests, rocky mountains, temperate forests, steppes, rocky deserts and prairies of Exotic Island. Bone jackals are known to be extremely aggressive, including mothers raising pups. Even males are known to be ferociously protective of their offspring and will protect them at all costs. Unlike their ancestors, bone jackals are extremely social animals, living in packs similar to that of wolves. African wild dogs and spotted hyenas. Packs consists of an alpha pair, breeding females and unrelated members from their natal packs. Packs are often led by either an alpha male and/or female. Due to their social nature and aggressive nature, bone jackals are pack hunters, capable of hunting down prey ten times larger than themselves, just like spotted hyenas. These jackals are also known for preying on small or medium-sized dinosaurs in large packs. Bone jackals are not even afraid of stealing kills from other predators, especially saber-toothed lions or blue hyenas.
