Near the wreckage of the Mugen Train. Rengoku and Akaza are locked in battle.

Rengoku: "Third Form... Blazing Universe! Fourth Form... Blooming Flame Undulation!"

Akaza: "Destructive Death..."

Rengoku: "Fifth Form... Flame Tiger!"

Akaza: "Disorder! Haha~!"

Akaza launches toward Rengoku.

Akaza: "Kyōjurō"

Rengoku: "Ngh! Urah!"

Rengoku severs one of Akaza's arms. Akaza jumps back.

Inosuke: "Ohh... Did he do it? Did he win?!"

Rengoku's blood drips to the ground.

Tanjirō: "Ahh... Y/n! Do something!"

Y/n: "Not yet."

Rengoku breathes heavily.

Tanjirō: "Ahh..."

Akaza: "Don't die on me, Kyōjurō."

Tanjirō: Rengoku... Rengoku... Rengoku!

Akaza: "Even if you fight to the death, you can't win, Kyōjurō. Those impressive slashes you inflicted on me have already healed completely. But what about you? Rengoku launches forward.

Akaza: "Haha!"
Akaza launches forward. He and Rengoku meet, and an explosion occurs.

Tanjirō: "Rengoku!"

Rengoku: "Urahhh!"

Akaza: "Urahhh!"

Rengoku slices through Akaza's arm.

Akaza: "Hahaha!"

Rengoku raises his sword again, cutting through Akaza's chest.

Rengoku: "Urahhh! Ngh! Uahhh!"

Rengoku slices upward, and a spiral of flame shoots toward the sky.

Tanjirō: Rengoku... Rengoku! "I see him... Ren... goku...Huh!"

The smoke clears. Akaza's arm is cut off above the elbow. Y/n is standing in between them holding one of her swords the other is in her mouth.

Rengoku: "Gah..."
