Chapter 3 | Would You Be So Kind as to Accomapy me?

I could sense that Clarissa, Sylvia, and Lesso were livid with me. I wonder why.

I know I wasn't supposed to be out after midnight but it wasn't my fault, I crossed my arms and huffed slumping in my chair. "What were you thinking?" Dovey exclaimed, her hands laid flat on the desk.

"It wasn't a big deal, Clarissa!" Sylvia slammed her fists on the desk, "wasn't a big deal? Y/n you could've been hurt! Or worse!"

"We've all made a decision to not allow you out of the School Grounds without a guard or person accompanying you" Dovey explained, I stood up from my chair, "what? That's not fair!" I retorted, Lesso raised an eyebrow, "It's a fair punishment until you learn, Y/n!" Lesso scolded, I scoffed, "your not my mother, Lesso!" She gripped her cane visibly getting angry, I picked up my dress and gave Lesso a mocking look, "Y/n Adelaide-Piper Cessair! Come back here this instant!" Lesso yelled out, following Y/n as she slammed the door in her face.

"This is so unfair! I mean it's not like I can't handle myself!" I ranted to Cleo, she was my best-friend, though she was a Never. She was the school for Evil's Hex and Curses Professor, "well, it seems like she just wants to protect you!" I looked at her confused, "I thought you were supposed to be on my side?"

"Well, I am. But she is my boss so..." I scoffed, "ridiculous..." I muttered, I plopped onto the ground my dress elegantly falling to the ground, Cleo sat beside me, "she cares about you, y'know. She talks about you a lot sometimes, she never looks at someone the way she does you, it's quite hilarious really."

As Cleo went on about Lesso's crush on you, You began to blush about the story's. "Ahem" Lesso interrupted Cleo, The raven haired woman stumbled to her feet and hurried off mumbling a "bye Y/n"

I crossed my arms and turn away from Lesso as she sat next to me, I hugged my knees to my chest, we sat in silence for a few minutes before she spoke up. "You may think me cruel, but I assure you, I'm only trying to protect you" she assured, fiddling with her cane that once gave her so much power, but once she talked to you her smug face was replaced with genuine nervousness. "Protect me my butt, you hate me, you have since the first year we came here."

Lesso sighed, "I suppose I have acted rather cold..."

"You suppose?" I questioned, giving her a snort and a scoff.

"The only reason why I did that was because...I liked you, a lot, and I don't know how to show affection. It's not a Villain-y thing to do." I looked at her, she offered me a slight smile, it was a real one. Not like the one's she gave Clarissa when she was being sarcastic. "I cannot say I feel the same, though, we could be friends. Nevers dating Evers is strictly forbidden, you know the rules, Lesso." She nodded, "Would you be so kind as to accompany me to the Blue Forest."
