It was said that during one of the most sweltering summers two babes would be born into a powerful lineage unbeknownst to them. They would come into the world together kicking and screaming. They would remain as two separate entities with similar philosophies and values. It was said the two of them would change the world. Their births were prophesied as gifts from the Gods.
"The Summer of Sanctity," they called it. For they believed that these two babes would wash away every single sin ever committed. They would be the purity everyone needed to save them—to cleanse them.
But how wrong they were. The prophecy was wrong. The people were wrong. The twins brought forth everything but virtue. And thus these sins would never be purged nor forgotten. They would spread like a plague.
