Checking her nails for the fifth time since she sat down, Lucaena decided that it was far more interesting than being forced to be in a room with...certain people whom she couldn't find common ground with no matter how hard she tried. Though she did not seem to try very hard.

"How good it is...to see you all tonight...together."

Viserys' languid voice resonated through the room as he looked around the dinner table at each one of his family members. Her father's words might have even drawn a smile onto Lucaena's lips had it not been for the fact that she was sitting at the same table as her intolerable nephews and greedy half-sister. The youngest Princess was at least grateful to be occupying the seat between Helaena and Aemond during the frustrating affair.

Lucaena's older sister held her hand under the table in an effort to feel some sort of friendly warmth while Aemond—sitting at the head of the gigantic table—dangerously eyed Lucerys who was situated directly opposite of him. Lucaena took note of the continuous and very bitter exchange, though she had more focus on Rhaenyra. Lucaena still held plenty of animosity towards her half-sister.

From the younger Princess's understanding, Rhaenyra only came back to King's Landing to receive special favors and use their father's condition to her advantage. And when her half-sister's wandering eyes landed on her, Lucaena didn't bother hiding her hostility. The way her nostrils flared partially alongside the fire in her eyes told Rhaenyra everything she needed to know. The heir to the Throne looked away rather quickly—too quickly for Lucaena's liking. Helaena stroked the top of her younger sister's hand with her thumb, silently urging Lucaena to pacify her nerves.

With a deep, inaudible inhale, the young Princess attempted to control herself in the face of her father. The stress wouldn't do much good for her unborn child either. The room fell silent for a moment. Just until Alicent looked to her husband and suggested that they all say a prayer. After peering around the table once more, Lucaena adversely closed her eyes, bowing her head partially towards the table as she listened to her mother recite the words she prepared.

"May the Mother smile down on this gathering with love. May the Smith mend the bonds that have been broken for far too long. And to Vaemond Velaryon, may the gods give him rest."

Lucaena's eyes instantly opened at the mention of Vaemond Velaryon's name. She bit back the smirk threatening to show. The bloodthirsty Princess might not have seen the man fall victim to her uncle's sword, but Helaena made sure to give her younger sister an overly detailed recount of the events. Helaena despised even speaking of it and thinking back to the gruesome scene. Her younger sister clearly felt contrasting emotions. By the time Alicent's prayer subsided, Lucaena wished for the dinner to be over. She wasn't hungry. Her need for sustenance dissipated the moment she stepped into the extravagant room.
