Mirai, Rukawa Kaede's older sister, comes back to Japan after two years. She was immediately assigned as an assistant coach of the Shohoku Team.
She was finally focusing on her goal when her lost love comes back.

The team came out of the changing room and Ryonan is already there in the gymnasium when they came in.
"So who's this Sendoh guy Sakuragi was talking about earlier?" Mirai asked Kogure.
"Oh, I don't know why but he's not here yet," the male replied.
"I see. Okay, what is that idiot doing?!" Mirai asked when she saw Sakuragi approach the opposing team. She can't hear what he's talking but somehow, she already knows that the redhead is bragging about him being Shohoku's secret weapon.
All of their attention turned to the person who entered the gymnasium. A tall guy with spiky black hair entered, smiling sheepishly.
Ryonan's coach quickly scolded him for being late.
"Is that him?" Mirai mumbled.
"Yeah," Kogure answered.
"The game will start. Do your best, Kogure!" Mirai smiled and lightly pushed him forward.
"T-Thanks," he replied and stepped into the court with Rukawa and the others.
Before they could even greet the starters of Ryonan, Sakuragi already did.
"I'm the secret weapon, Sakuragi! Sendoh, I will defeat you!" Sakuragi proudly said.
Mirai facepalmed and sighed. "He's giving me a headache, really."
Surprisingly for them, Sendoh smiled and shook hands with Sakuragi accepting his challenge.
After his introduction, the redhead quickly went back to the bench and sat down between Mirai and Ayako.
The game started and Shohoku got the ball, meaning they were going for the offense.
Mirai crossed her arms over her chest as her eyes focused on the game. Her gaze broke when she noticed Takao-sensei staring at them.
The girl gave him a smug smile causing the older male to widen his eyes in surprise. Ryonan got the first shot and even with that, he can feel Shohoku's confidence not even faltering with the girl's smirk.
Ryonan's defense is really good with their center Uozumi and their offense being Sendoh. Mirai already knows that they are going to have a hard time with them but they can still have a good game with them. They can't completely trash them around.
Even Akagi is having difficulties in scoring because of Ryonan's center. The Shohoku captain considers Uozumi as his rival since he's taller than him and they both play the same position.
Shohoku couldn't score due to Ryonan's solid defense. It's been more than a minute since the game started.
Mirai was shocked when Sendoh block the ball from getting to her brother. She smirked and can feel the annoyance and determination radiating from her brother already.
