"Charlene! We won't be late!" Fran calls from the kitchen, getting Baby ready. "Why do we have to wear dressy clothes?" Asked Baby. "Well, your brother is graduating high school today! After many years of going to school, it's finally paid off!" Fran happily explained, picking him up and bring him to the car. "Graduation day also means 'time to move out day'" "Earl!" "What? It's about time our residence count has dropped. Of course, I'm proud of my son but let's look on the other plus side Frannie, now we have one less dependent." Earl giggled. Charlene joined her family in the car wearing a beautiful yellow dress with pearl earrings. When the family was settled, they began driving off. When the Sinclairs got to the school, the parking lot was flooded. Earl had a hard time finding parking due to this and the swarm of dinosaurs walking to the field for the graduation. "Keep moving fat boy! I don't want to miss seeing my grandson walk across the stage!" Ethyl says, hitting Earl with her cane, making Baby laugh. "Again!" Ethyl hit Earl one more time when he finally found a parking spot. Everyone got out and started making their way to the field.
Many bleachers were full, the Sinclairs were looking for a spot in the front row. Although proven to be difficult at first, a family had moved. "Ah ha! Finders keepers, losers weepers!" Earl laughed, ushing his family to take their spot. "Gee, there's a lot of graduates this year. I hope this won't take too long." Charlene says, sitting down next to Fran. They were soon joined by Roy. "Hey Pally boy, it must be hard to believe that young Robert is done with school." He said to Earl. "Oh Roy you have no idea! I thought I'd be happy because I have one less dependant, but I find myself happy because my oldest kid succeeded in school and is ready for the next phase in his life." It must have been about 20 minutes when the graduation march started playing. All the families stared off into the distance towards the school, waiting for the graduates to appear. Once they were in sight, the Sinclairs started looking for Robbie. Many graduates passed the bleachers before entering the field. When Robbie walked by, the Sinclairs cheered and waved. They all saw a slight smile on Robbie's face before joining his classmates on the field. A speech was given by the principal, a student sang "I hope you dance", and the student government received their diplomas. Finally, the ceremony begun. "Grace Abbott, Damien Abelle..." Applause from parents and family members grew loud and quiet over and over. "Spike Rachow..." the Sinclairs applauded for Spike since he was a friend of Robbie's. They could see Robbie approaching the stage. "Andrew Shawn..." The Sinclairs felt the anticipation since Robbie's name was next on the roster. "Robert Mark Sinclair, with honors." The Sinclairs cheered louder than before. Robbie walked across the stage, took his diploma, got a picture with the principal and walked off. Just before leaving the stage, he received a medal for having high grades.
At the end of the ceremony, Robbie met up with the rest of his family. "Oh sweetheart, I'm so proud of you!!" Fran says, hugging her son with tears. "Aww Mom." Robbie responds, hugging her back. Each of the Sinclairs took turns hugging Robbie. Ethyl rolled closer. "Robbie my baby." Robbie looked down at her and smiled. "Gram." He leaned over and kissed her cheek. "You did it Son. You survived school." Earl says, putting his hand on Robbie's shoulder. "Come on Son, there's your graduation party waiting for you at home! We'll meet you there!" Robbie walked off as the rest of his family headed back towards the car. Just as the Sinclairs were getting out of the car, Robbie pulled up in his own car. Roy showed up not much later to join the party. Robbie began to open his graduation presents. After dinner, Fran surprised Robbie with a huge cake. "Oooh, a cake!!" Baby squeals. "Not yet dear, we have to let our stomachs rest, that was a very large dinner!" After dessert, the Sinclairs took one more picture. "Alright guys, time for a family photo!" Earl says, ushering everyone to get up. Robbie picked up Baby as Fran, Charlene, Ethyl and Roy gathered around him. Earl was setting up the camera. Once he was ready, Earl joined his family in the picture. "Everybody say 'congratulations'" Earl pressed the button at the edge of a cord and snapped a picture. When it processed, Fran hung it on the wall. Robbie walked up to Fran, still holding Baby. "Today is the start of a new beginning." Fran says, caressing Robbie's cheek. "Why today?" Baby asked. "Well, becasuse from here on out, I'm not a student anymore, I've got a future to build, and it starts after finishing high school and following my dreams." Robbie explained. "So, what now Rob?" Charlene asked. "Well, I've been thinking about starting my own business. Possibly a business that will help our environment and better serve all dinosaurs." The Sinclairs were all intrigued. Robbie put Baby down on the floor and grabbed an envelope. "I was waiting for the right moment to tell you guys, and I think now's the time." He opened the envelope. "I've been accepted into Molten State University for a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration." "Robbie that's great news! When do you start?" "September 26th." He answered. Fran wiped away a tear. "Mom, it's okay." "I know, it's just... I'm so proud of you and I can't believe my little boy is all grown up!" Fran started crying tears of joy. Robbie just rubbed her shoulders to comfort her. This was a happy moment for the Sinclair family and the beginning of a new Era.
