It was a very clear night at the park in northern pangea. The gazebo in the middle of the park had lights on it and rose pedals on the floor. Wendy Richfield and Robbie held hands and giggled as they walked through the park. "It's such a lovely night." Wendy says, leaning on Robbie. "Oh yeah, it sure is. You know what's more lovely than the sky?" He asks, turning to Wendy. "What's that?" Wendy asks. "You." Robbie smiled, and kissed her on the cheek. "Come with me." Robbie led Wendy to the gazebo. "Wow, this is well decorated." Wendy and Robbie stood face to face just like they did the night of their first kiss.

Wendy wasn't expecting what came next. "Wendy Richfield. I have met many gorgeous females in my life, but none as gorgeous as you. You are the kindest, most beautiful and loyal female I have ever had the pleasure of dating. We have been through so much since we first met. In all honesty, I can't imagine a future without you." Robbie got down on one knee, and pulled out a Tiffany box and opened the lid. "Wendy Richfield, will you marry me?"

Wendy clearly had tears in her eyes. "Oh Robbie. Yes!" Robbie took the ring from the box and slid it onto her finger. He stood up, then he and Wendy shared a kiss. "You know what this means now, right?" Wendy asks, caressing his cheek. "We need to tell out families." Robbie suddenly gulped. He remembered the encounter he had with his soon-to-be father-in-law. "What's wrong? Are you worried about my dad?" Wendy asks. "No, no, not at all." He lied. Robbie wasn't sure how he was going to go about this with Mr. Richfield. It brought up some rough memories.

Wendy and Robbie drove back to their hometown in Robbie's car to tell their families. They pulled into the driveway of the Sinclair house, and knocked on the door. Fran answered. "Robbie! Wendy! Come in!" The young couple entered the house. Charlene was visiting from fashion school, and Baby wasn't much of a baby anymore, but he still had his attitude! "Hey Mom, when's Dad getting home?" Robbie asks. "I believe he will be home around 5:30." Robbie and Wendy looked at each other and nodded. Before Fran could ask why Robbie looked so nervous, Ethyl entered in her wheelchair. "Robbie darling! Come here, let your grandma give you kisses." Robbie leaned towards Ethyl, who repeatedly kissed his cheek. "Hello Wendy, how has school been, dear?" Ethyl asks. "Oh, it was great! I graduated two weeks ago!"

"What was your major again?" Ethyl asked. "Entrepreneurship" Wendy replied. "I intend to help make the world a better place by creating an organization that helps the environment for future generations." As she explains this, Wendy steps to the side, spreading her arms, as if she were imagining a large picture. That's when Charlene and Fran noticed her ring. "What a gorgeous ring. Robbie, Wendy, is there something you'd like to tell us?" Fran asks. Everyone looks at the couple with eagerness.

"Alright. Well, I'm pleased to announce that Wendy and I are engaged." Everyone cheered for the couple. "That's wonderful news, I'm so happy for you!" Fran cries, hugging them both. "I can't believe it! I'm finally going to have a sister!" Charlene squealed. "In-law" Baby corrected. "Yeah, whatever." It must have been close to 5:30, because Earl walked in. "Honey, I'm home from another soul-sucking day at work." "Earl, you're just in time for the wonderful news!" Fran says, walking towards him,

"Not now Frannie, I'm starving." "Oh shut up fat boy and listen to the news!" Ethyl snaps. Robbie clears his throat. "Son! When did you get here? We weren't expecting you home for another week." "Well Dad, Wendy and I are engaged." Earl froze. "Wait, really?" Wendy nodded, and leaned on Robbie. "This is fantastic news, Son! I always knew you two were meant for each other." Earl danced happily around the kitchen and started humming the bridal march. Fran made a special dinner that night. As the family gathered around, talk of the wedding had already begun.

"We could have an outdoor wedding at night with lights, live music and somewhere that speaks 'romance'" Wendy says, happily. She turns to Charlene. "How would you like to be a bride's maid?" She asks. "Oh, I'd love to!" She turns to Baby. "Would you like to be the ring bearer?" "Oh, yeah! Gotta have Baby in the wedding! Gotta love me!" Wendy giggled. She turned to Robbie, who still looked nervous, and she wasn't the only one who noticed.
