Nikolas POV

"I NEED A DOCTOR, NOW!"

My blood is bubbling, I can feel the fury pulsing through my veins. Bells is limp in my arms, I don't know if she's okay or not, but I am going to make sure she is. Or nobody is going to like what I'm going to do.

A nurse strides towards me, her arms open, "What's the matter, sir? There's no need to make such noise."

This is not the time for demands, so I give her the most deathly glare I can manage before telling her,"You must get her to a room. She needs a doctor immediately."

The nurse pulls a bed towards me from the corner, and gently places Bella on the bed, along with my help. The nurse nods her head at the receptionist, and begins to push Bells to an empty ward.

"Isn't there a doctor?! She needs one!"

My voice sounds demanding, but it wavers near to the end of my sentence.

The nurse glances at me,"A doctor will arrive shortly. Please have patience, sir. And if you are not related to her, you must not be here."

What the f*ck? I don't care if I'm not related to her, she's my Bells, regardless.

"Don't tell me what to do, woman. I'm her husband, therefore I have the authority to be here. Don't question my presence when you don't know who I am."

The nurse gulps, avoiding eye contact with me, glaring at the clock.

Her hands move to push the bed into place, but I swat them away,"You fetch the doctor, thank you very much."

The nurse scurries hastily out of the room, not even bothering to reply. After she goes, I push the bed against the pale white wall, and drop my body onto a metal chair nearby. My muscles feel powerless and my skin feels a bit moisty against my shirt fabric. All because of Isabella Williamson. My secretary.

"Bells, if you don't wake up, then I will decrease your pay..."

Yeah, way to go, like she cares about that at the moment.

What? That was the only thing I could think of, at least I'm attempting to wake her up. I hear the door open,

"Don't worry. It shouldn't be too much of a problem..."

The doctor reassures the nurse, the woman who was arguing with me earlier.

"Okay, Dr. Miller, I'll leave you to it."

The doctor nods at the nurse, sending her a polite smile with it.

Dr. Miller makes his way towards Bells' bed, his expression firm as he examines her state. Her face is far more red than a baboon's ass, if that is possible.

The doctor turns to me with a deep sigh, "What exactly happened to this woman?"

My fists clench in my lap as he says that. How dare he?!

"Excuse me, don't refer to my wife as 'this woman'. And we were in the boiler room, trying to sort something out, when all of a sudden, she fainted."

My sentence ends with an unsure shrug.

"Why would you go into a boiler room?"

Dr. Miller's eyebrow raises as he stares at me, waiting for an answer. Mockingly, I raise my eyebrow at him,

"Why can't I do my jobs?"

Dr. Miller crosses his arms, a tight frown stretching across his face,"I have no time for games, sir."

I shake my head with a disapproving look,"That's all. We were doing our job and she passed out. Now leave, I shall wait for my wife to wake up."

The doctor is beginning to p*ss me off very much, he just won't shut up. Dr. Miller nods,"Very well...don't complain again."

I stick my middle finger up at him, "Oh I won't be coming to you for help," the doctor clenches his jaw and walks out.

Oh how I love annoying doctors, they all hate it because they can't retaliate, or I make them lose their job.

When I called Bells my 'wife', part of me felt as if I was right to say that, although I'm not very sure. Bells is just my secretary, so I obviously have an urge to protect her. Especially from that Daniel.

*Flashback*

" Mum, we can go there later, we have plenty of time."

Mum shrugs, focusing on the road, taking a left.

"I'll go and get a drink from the corner shop. You wait in the car."

I hop out of the car, and straighten my shirt a bit. I walk across the road, after the lights turn red, heading to the corner shop. Yes, I know how to cross roads, I'm 18 for Christ's sake.

I step into the shop and grab a Pepsi can instantly, placing it on the counter.

"1.70$ please."

The cashier mumbles at me, shoving his hand out. I pass him 2 dollars and walk away. I don't care about the change, plus, you can tell he loves his job by his tone of voice.

"Hey! Let go. Help, Nick!"

I hear my mother scream from across the road. My eyes dart to her, I see a pair of hazel colour eyes glowering at me, then he fires his gun. A huge grin on his face. He fires the gun. I look to see who was hurt, only to see my mother sprawled on the floor, in her own pool of blood.

*End Of Flashback*

I still remember those eyes...they never dissolve from my mind, they haunt me every night. He killed my mother. Daniel shot my mother. That b*stard! She was all I had, all I ever had, and just for money he did that. How could somebody be so cruel? I still don't understand. He will never be a good person in my eyes. Never.

A soft voice snaps me out of my daze.

"Hi? Anyone here...?"

My head whips in the direction of her voice, eager to hear it again.

"Yes? It's Nikolas, Bells, I'm here."

Her hoarse yet delicate voice calls,"Nick... You're here?"

Bells questions, a hint of happiness in her voice. Is she glad to see me? She wants me with her? Oh don't push your luck. She's just surprised. My hand reaches for her's, her smooth fingers wrap around my large hand.

"Hey, Bells. Did you faint because of my hotness or the room's hotness?"

My grin widens when she opens her mouth but can't seem to find any words. She looks so cute-- What the f*ck is going on with you? You don't do relationships. There's no such thing as love. True....

"Nikolas, because you brought me here. You can ask me for anything and I will do it. Anything." My heart springs up in delight.

"Come on a date with me."
