Location: Starfell Valley, Near the ocean.
As Lumine drew in the sand while recounting her tales to her new traveling companion somberly, Paimon, who was finally waiting for this moment to end, couldn't help but burst out.
"Finally! With that, Paimon could finally say, you graduated, Lumi!" As Paimon finally discovered Lumine's past, she sobbed with pride. Of course, she had been initially shocked by the contents, though that feeling didn't last long as Paimon rapidly felt overwhelmed when she eventually got Lumine to say a lengthy string of COHERENT words all at once.
Before leaving, Paimon simply waited Lumine's willingness. But who would have imagined that the Traveller's adjustment to Teyvat would take months.
Obviously, a month would've been an appropriate time for adjusting. To the Pixie, however, waiting a month for HER to adjust in the hopes that Lumine just wouldn't scream at any living thing she saw went beyond the bounds of what was reasonable.
'Seriously! Paimon lost count at the times when Paimon would always tell Lumine that anything colorful isn't poisonous!'
Lumine was startled by her dramatic cry, instantly snapping out of her reverie, as Paimon groaned as she saw the Traveller's anxiety.
"Look, while Paimon's sorry for being rude for crying like that... but it's really well deserved!" Paimon pouted in response to Lumine's glare. "Don't get Paimon started with your antics, Lumi! When Paimon first met the Traveller, Paimon's first thoughts were, 'Oh how Paimon's grateful for saving Paimon-' but that gratitude swiftly went away as you accidentally threw Paimon back towards the water, not to mention tripping yourself, screaming when a lizard suddenly crawled around your feet, and then you fell off the edge with no shame!! And after Paimon got the gist of your personality, Paimon thought you were a lost cause!!"Before the blonde could defend herself, Paimon ruthlessly cut in.
"For example! Paimon graciously taught you the language in Teyvat. Even though it was sooo hard to teach you how to talk.... You barely even talk—!? ... Er no.. that's wrong ... Hmm.. how could Paimon say it—oh! Paimon knows, you could talk.. but it's not always understandable!" Paimon mercilessly pointed out all the times when Lumine rambles on about something scary and Paimon was on the side, listening with a confuse expression.
"Paimon's been with you for 2 months now or maybe more, and you just started talking a full string of coherent words just a week ago, but even then it was barely!" The pixie huffs angrily as she floats. "Paimon's plan was to be your guide as payment for your help, and Paimon thought that you would be like a reliable older sister even with your rocky start.... But Paimon was wrong! So wrong! So Paimon decided to be your appointed strict teacher for everything! And at that moment just a few minutes ago, Paimon felt proud that you got to talk without stuttering or crying in the middle of your sentence just because you saw some bugs...!"
All Lumine could do in response to Paimon's lengthy rant was to bow her head in shame.
To see the Traveller looked a bit reprimanded, Paimon couldn't help but just let out a smile as she was done panting. She was mostly worn out from screaming all she had been holding inside these long months, but she was also pleased to be counted upon so easily. Who knew that being mature was really enjoyable? Because of her size, Paimon was constantly taken for granted. Finally... Paimon felt a little bit superior to Lumine but other than that, she was blissful all the time.
'Hehehe... It's kinda nice being dependent on so wholeheartedly!' Paimon laughed as she pondered. Having noticed herself getting distracted, Paimon coughs.
