The next day came sooner than I thought. I am not ready for being friends with Ash again. Not after that embarrassing moment. But I guess I will still try to be, because he is important to me. I like him even when he teases me and I think that's a good reason to stay.

The lessons were extremely boring and endlessly today. First lesson maths, second German, third Biology. That gave me the rest. Luckily the next two lessons were Music and Art which calmed me down because Alexa had the same lessons.
Music went by really fast, but during art Alexa started to talk about Ash's past.
"Laura, I think I understand Ash now. He had a horrendous past. That his dad died in a car accident had to be really hard for him to handle. He was so young and had to take care of his little siblings, he barely had friends at that time. But he is lucky that he has you."
I nodded the whole time because otherwise I would have added something to that car accident story.
I made a confused face when she said that he is lucky NOW that he has me.
"What do you mean he has me now?"
"Oh nothing I just thought you would forgive him and get back with him." I looked down on the floor. If it were that easy I would but he really hurt me.
"Aw Laura I am sorry that I brought up that topic again" Alexa said and hugged me from behind.
"It's okay I just haven't fully closed that case 'Ashton'. That's all."
She didn't say anything more during the Art lesson, but I am pretty sure that she thought about it the whole time.

After art we went for lunch at the caffeteria. I brought my own meal with me, because I don't trust school food. Alexa got her something there though, she doesn't really mind what she eats, what makes me question every day why she is stil so thin. Whatever.

We were looking for a table when I already could see Calums hand waving to show us where they sit, so we can sit with them.
The whole "band" sat there, Michael, Calum, Luke and ASH...
I knew it would be the first step back to a normal friendship but I was so scared. I followed Alexa who went straight to Calums table. My hands started to shake harder by every step I took nearer to Ash. I tried to calm myself down and sat down. The thing was just that I had to sit next to Ash and opposite of Luke, what didn't make it any easier to calm down. I put out my food from my school bag and placed it on the table.

Then when I thought I just calmed down a bit Alexa had to ask Ash. "Ash, why did you never talk to us about your dad?"
I was about to spit out my food, but instead I took a deep breath and inhaled something. I coughed so loud and took a sip of my water to get that thing out of my lung tube.
All the others looked at me as if I was too stupid to eat. Alexa view went back to Ash.
"So Ash?" Alexa asked again.
Ashton looked at me questioning. I just shook my head to signal him that I didn't tell her anything, except the car story.
"Hm... good question. I dunno. I just never talk about him to anybody. That has nothing to do with you guys."

I looked back and forth between Ash and Alexa. Ashton smiled at me to calm me down, what didn't really work though.
My hands started to shake again, moving them down under the table and placing them on my lap. Ash realised that and moved his hand under the table aswell trying touching mine, what frightened me for a second and gave me goose bumps all over my body.
I looked at him, he looked at me and suddenly both back to Alexa. His hand grabbed mine, me intertwining our fingers. His warm and big hand gave me a comfortable feeling which calmed me down very fast.

"Okay however. If you ever wanna talk about it, you know we always listen to you." Alexa said to finish the conversation.

"Yeah thank you. I know." Ash said with disinterest. The others brought up a new topic right after because everybody was kinda feeling bad now.

I let go of Ash's hand as the situation calmed down and my heart was beating slowly again.

Instead of hunger I had a bad feeling in my stomach which stopped me from eating.
