ft. the corey's, river phoe...
—following their reunion in sandy valley, nevada, the pair headhome to california with their friends, being sure to stop at a 7-eleven gas station along the way. although they can't ignore the press, the media, or fans forever, they try their best tohave a life with just the two of them—something they wanted for so long. kennedy teaches him things about the 21st century and he teaches her things he never got to since they were always running wild in the 20th century together. they live tucked away in a house only their closest friends know of, and they are never, ever letting each other out of their sights again.
RIVER PHOENIX
—continues to live in a shitty apartment where the walls are too thin and it's either too hot or too cold. he eventually moves out a few years later after he's saved up some money from his sold-out gigs he has every few weeks. he could take the fame and run with it, being a time-traveling, loved by all legend, it'd be easy to become a world-dominating celebrity who gets anything he wants. but river doesn't want that. he stays humble, his belongings stay small, his friend group stays tight, and he likes it that way. he's happy.
JASON PATRIC
—now attends church, something he never did before. after kennedy changed his life forever in not one, but two dimensions; with the power of the female gaze, love, seduction, andguilt, jason finds refuge in the quietness of a church every sunday. it grounds him, reminds him that everything is okay, and there's still more to live for. he's toyed around with ghost writing a book about his experiences over the past few years, but the unfinished story sits in a file saved on his laptop. maybe one day he'll finish it, but for now, he's okay living off of residual checks and is content with having wine at every meal.
MICHAEL ANDERSON
—for the rest of his days, he continues to live with his girlfriend jacqueline. they cook dinner together every night and sing and dance to bon jovi. with jacqueline being a few years younger than him, he knows he's in good hands with someone who loves him and can take care of him when he needs it—he says he never will, but he knows deep down one day his lifestyle will catch up to his body. michael still looks after kennedy as if she's his daughter. he calls to check up on her and is always the first to send her birthday cupcakes and flowers. he smiles the biggest when she and corey come for dinner once every month.
all in all, each member of the group is happy to have a second chance—with each other and at life, whether it's in the time they were born in, or the one they traveled to.
