Let Me Help You (Mizuena)

Developing Feelings

                                 Ena's POV:
I checked the time. It was 1pm. Mizuki should have been here by now. They usually come early.

I was standing outside of the cafe I had told them about. I was starting to get worried. I looked to my left to see a familiar face sprinting in my direction.

"Hey Ena!" Mizuki said in their usual happy tone. "Mizuki.. I was getting worried." I crossed my arms and huffed.
"Aw.. Ena was worried about me~"
"Shut it!" I yelled. I blushed when they said that.
"Sorryyyy." They replied. "Can we go inside? I really want to see what this place looks like!"
I nodded and we both made our way inside the cafe.

"Oh wow.." They looked around and smiled. "It's so beautiful in here!"
I nodded in agreement. "I sometimes go here before school starts."
"Speaking of that- don't you have school later?" Mizuki asked me.
"Yeah." I replied. "Wait, shouldn't you have school now?" I asked them, with a puzzled expression on my face.

"Oh yeah, I just wasn't really bothered to go in today.  Maybe tomo- wait, tomorrow is Saturday. Then I'll go in on Monday." They decided.
"Oh yeah.. I forgot you skip school." I sighed and smiled a little.

Mizuki and I found a table, and we sat down across from each other. Mizuki started asking me about my art and any ideas I have. I told them all about what I wanted to create. They were very easy to talk to, because you just know that Mizuki would listen.

We ordered what we wanted. I ordered some cheesecake and a frappuchino, and since it was Mizuki's first time coming here, they just ordered the same thing as me.

As we waited, Mizuki tried to start another conversation. "Hey, how's lil' bro?" They asked me. I sighed and rolled my eyes.
"I don't know."
"How do you not know!? He's your younger
brother!"
"It's not like I talk to him a lot!" I replied.
Mizuki chuckled a little, and I couldn't help but laugh a little myself.

Our food and drinks came and we began to eat. I   wasn't really sure what we could talk about, so I glanced at Mizuki to see if they would say anything, but when I looked at them, it looked as if they were thinking the same thing.

"Mizuki, we should ask the others if we can go to SEKAI later." I suggested. "It's been a while since we last saw Miku and the others."
"Alright! Plus, it's MEIKO'S anniversary today, isn't it? If she's there, maybe she she finally changed her mind about 'observing us from a distance.'

"Meiko is kinda weird.. But I'm grateful for her, honestly." I said as I took a sip of my coffee. "Although she sometimes completely ignores us. What's the point in visiting our SEKAI if she won't talk to us?"
"Hey hey, it's her day today! Maybe she will act a little different today." Mizuki replied. "Plus, she helps us. It may be in a bit of a strange way, but it's good enough." We both smiled at each other, and I nodded in agreement.

Me and Mizuki began talking a lot again. They started rambling about their music videos and stuff, but I didn't mind. I didn't want to admit it, but I liked listening to it. I liked listening to Mizuki talking in their nice, happy voice. I also liked spending time with Mizuki. That time in the mall yesterday, when they asked me who my crush was.. I was talking about Mizuki. I wasn't exactly sure if I did like them or not, and I still feel that way. But I feel like what I felt yesterday has become a little stronger.

We finally finished our food and stood up. We went outside and an awkward silence arose. I glanced at them, and seen that they were looking at me. We made eye-contact. Mizuki went over to me and hugged me.

"See you at 25:00." I said with a gentle smile. "Bye!"
"Bye Ena!"
