I woke up feeling energetic and ready to start my new life as a hooper. As I was getting ready, I was made aware of a free spin I will now receive everyday once I woke up.

Congratulations you have unlocked a bronze badge; Bronze Blinders!

The free spins made me look forward to the future even more. Maybe one day I come randomly gain a hall of fame badge. For now I put on a brown shirt, gray sweats, a classic 2K trope, and left to find a court.

Once I got outside and started walking, it had donned on me, where exactly was I? I pulled out my phone, which happened to be exactly identical to the one I had before coming here, and opened Maps.

Minnesota.

That meant we were in the home of the Timberwolves. Using my map, I decided to head to Peavey Field Park, which wasn't far from my crib.

I had arrived at the park and saw all types of different playground equipment spread across the park. However, I was more interested in the blue courts I spotted deeper inside of the park. Apparently, I had come just in time as they were picking teams. There was even a crowd of people watching the game that was about to begin. Unbeknownst to me, there was someone very important in that crowd.

Thankfully enough, the team captain of the team so ended up on saw me as an okay looking player which I accepted. I mean, I haven't proved myself yet so there wasn't anything to deny. The game had started off smoothly, both teams had traded 2 buckets which were blow-by layups. On the next possession, the opposing player I was guarding took the ball up the court.

Being the defensive stalwart I was (or going to be), I decided to pressure him once he crossed half court. He had tried to dribble away but didn't have must room between him and the half court line. I predicted a crossover from him and was able to steal the ball. I began to sprint down that court and quickly noticed I wasn't very fast. Instead of trying to layup, I pulled up right before the arc of the three point line.

Swish.

A screen had appeared in front of me, and it was one I definitely recognized.

Timing: Excellent
Wide Open

So, it has shot feedback as well? That's a good thing to have, especially for things like rebounds.

The game continued on and it had become apparent to the players and the crowd that I could shoot 3s. They've almost completely stopped passing to the guy I was guarding since his lost the ball every time. It made sense though, I had 80+ [perimeter defense] on a NBA scale, compared to random pickups it was basically maxed. Like think of being guarded by Kawhi Leonard right as this moment, that's how he felt.

After the game, I had sat on a bench near my stuff and drank some water trying to cool off. That's when a man had appeared beside me trying to get my attention.

"Excuse me? What's your name young man?" He asked with and expression full of curiosity. He looked like an important dude, and kinda out of place here a bit. "Y/N L/N, sir," I had responded. "Well Mr. L/N, I'm Devin Smith, the Assistant Coach and Player Development Coach for the Iowa Wolves, nice to meet you."

Oh wow, talk about doing the right thing in front of the right people. "Nice to meet you as well," I responded. "I saw your performance here and I love the way you're able to shoot and defend, we could use someone like you on our squad, so how about it?" "Sure, whatever you need me to do."
