Eccentriq POV
I have never kissed Hayes before. I have always had a little crush on him. But he is 14 and I'm 16. There is a 2 year difference. I didn't want to date him but then again I did. I don't know. Why is love so damn difficult.
We pulled away and he smiled. I did too. Plus it's not like I'm dating anyone. All I do is just stay at Brent house. He isn't my boyfriend and neither is Nash.
"Eccentriq? Can I ask you something?" Hayes asks.
"Yeah sure." I tell him.
"Do you have feelings for anyone special?" He says looking down.
"Um...yes...and no?" I say looking at my fingers.
"If you don't mind me asking...is it me?" He looks up at me.
"Well I--" I was interrupted by Nash.
"Hey you find a case yet?"
"Yeah." I turn around.
"I found more than that" I mumble so only Hayes could hear. Hayes smirks at me.
"Then come on." He tells me.
"Where's is your phone?" Hayes puts in his password and hands me his phone. I put in my number and put my name as That Special Girl❤️👍. I hand him his phone and tell him to call me later. He smiles and nods. And kiss him on the cheek and shut his door.
"Do you want to play mortal combat?" Nash asks me. I just nod.
"Whats wrong" he asks putting his arm around me. I push it off.
"I just want to go home." I lie.
"Ok" he says standing up. We walk out the door and I get in the car. The ride was silent. I got out and walked to my door. I unlocked it and went up to my room. I was waiting for Hayes to call.
I waited for about 10 minutes. And may I say that was the longest 10 mins of my life.
H- Hey
E- Hey Hayes. So watcha doing.
H- Nothin. I wanted to know something.
E- Ask away
H- Would you want to go out with me? I mean we could keep it a secret. I love you so much....and I jus' wanted to um.....date you......or maybe be really close friends. Or maybe just......ok I'll just shut up now.
E- Ok so Hayes I like you a lot. You know like...like like you. But there is a 2 year difference. And don't get me wrong you are really cute. But I just don't need to be in a relationship right now.
H- Oh ok. That's cool. I understand. I'll call you back later. Ok. I love you.
E- I love you too?
Then he hung up. I love that kid, but I just don't need to be in a relationship right now. I just want to go to bed. And right when I get comfortable my dumb phone rings.
I roll over and answer it. It was Sky.
"What" I say obviously annoyed.
"What got up your ass" she snaps back.
"Well maybe the fact the my 'BFF' lied to me about studying." I hiss back.
"Look I just thought that you wanted me to do another favor for you."
"WTF! You don't know what I called!!! I could have been in the hospital. I just wanted to see if you wanted to go to my granddads farm to ride horses because you always complain about how you never get to ride your horses.. But instead you had to lie and say you had to study!!!I had to call someone I HARDLY talk to!! And when I saw you kissing someone at that party last night, that really hurt my feelings SKY!!! ALOT!" I yell ticked off.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean for....." I cut her off by hanging up.
I rolled over and fell into a deep sleep. I heard the door open and I opened one eye and saw Brent climb in next to me I pretended I was sleep.
"I know you are not sleep cause I heard you shouting down stairs. But anyway I love you." He says.
"Brent, I'm sleeping in going to bed. Night handsome." I say. Then closing my eyes.
"Ok goodnight beautiful. I just wish I could date you again." He says wrapping his arms around me.
"You can." I say.
"What?" He questions.
"You can date me again. I was stupid to brake up with you."
"Ok well will you go out with me again?" He asks.
I roll over so that I'm facing him. I put his hands in mine and lock them together. And say.......yes.
We go to sleep smiling. I love you Brent. And this time I won't loose you. I PROMISE. I close my eyes and go to bed. Goodnight.
