Moonwatcher's POV

My alarm rang for 6:30, and my eyes open instantly. I sigh, realising one thing. I was going to Pyrrhia High School today. Another new school. I had gone to Lava Island Academy for three years now, but mum got a new job proposition, and she took it. My mind was fuzzy. There was another thing. Something I should be excited about....

My head cleared, and I remembered what it was. I'd be going to school with Mirage today! Her father, Oryx, had married my mother just a month ago, so the relationship was fresh and sweet and just adorable to watch. Mirage walked into my room with a sweet smile and turned on my lights.

"Morning Moon. Come on, time for school." The petite girl pushed up her glasses, blinking her large black eyes. We looked the complete opposite, but had the same personality. She had been going to this school all her life. She had friends. Plus a 10th grader who was obssessed with her. Her life was fine.

"Morning Mirage. I'll be right there, Imma just take a shower." I said, and she nodded, walking away. Her long, dirty blonde hair swished behind her. She was so beautiful, and I wasn't. I sighed, walking to the bathroom. Something in the shadows moved, and a beautiful, silky black cat weaved through my legs. I smiled and crouched down.

"Morning Crescent." I said, stroking her shiny fur. I picked up the little kitten and put her in the kitchen, in front of her bowl of milk and food. She gulped it happily, and I quickly left to take a shower. Once I was done, I changed into a black t-shirt with stars all over it and a matching skirt. I put on some black socks and brushed my hair. I decided to leave it out. After all, if I got nervous, I could just hide behind it. I stabbed in some moonstone earrings.

(What they look like)

I put on a matching pendant (I'll put that one at the end) and put an emerald green scrunchie on my wrist. I walked out of my room, and into the kitchen. My mother walked in the room, with her professional clothes on. Her heels clacked against the hard floor. She kissed me on the cheek, and I did too.

"Oh, sweetie, I'm sorry, I have to leave. Ask Oryx for breakfast, and Bondi'll be taking you and Mirage to school. Call me if you need anything." She said. I agreed and gave her a quick hug before she rushed outside. The car beeped, and the sound of the engine turning on rang through the house. Oryx walked in the kitchen, with a grin. His wild hair stuck out in all directions. He was a chef, and today was his day off.

He asked me what I wanted for breakfast. "Just one half of an eggs benny." I replied. It was my favourite breakfast. He nodded, and Mirage sat across from me, engaged in a book. Her eyes scanned over it, then she put in a bookmark she had made and put the book aside. We smiled at each other.

Bondi stumbled in, wearing a white button-up shirt and jeans. He put his black jacket on a chair and quickly fixed up his hair before sitting next to Mirage. "Morning Moon." He said. "Whats for breakfast?" I replied with what I was having and he grinned.
