Chapter 1

This story will contain some scenes and characters from on my block.

I woke up to my brother and his friends being noisy. I rolled my eyes and sat up, put on a tank top and short shorts and walked into the living room to see what they were laughing at.

When I got to the living room there was my brother, Cesar, and two other Santos. "Did you see how scared that bitch was?" Cesar said before laughing. "I thought he was gonna cry like a bitch." My brother said.

They saw that I walked into the living room and quickly stopped talking.

"What's up hermana?" My brother asked, already knowing I was irritated from them waking me up. "Nothing I just wanted to see what was so funny." I said.

"We rolled up on some fool selling drugs to kids on the block." Cesar said before putting a cigarette in his mouth. It was weird seeing Cesar act like this, it wasn't him.

"Well I'm gonna go get ready to hang out with Vero." I said to all of them. "Where do you think your going looking like that?" my brother asked. I grabbed a hoodie and said "Is this good enough?" He rolled his eyes as I walked out of the door I got a notification from Cesar.

As I was walking to Veros, I was just looking at the ground trying to think clearly I accidentally bump into someone.

As I look up I see a kid from 19th street. He has a purple shirt with jeans on and a golden chain with Air Force ones. "My bad." I say trying to not make eye contact.

He looked me up and down as I started getting uncomfortable when I remembered I was in a hoodie and really short, shorts.

"Your good mama." He says with a smirk. As I looked at him more, I realized he was very cute. I quickly snapped out of it and remembered he was from 19th street.

"Where you headed hermosa?" He asked before looking me up and down again.

"The store." I say looking at the ground. "Want me to walk you? You shouldn't walk around alone looking like that people might get the wrong impression." He says. "No I'm okay, my brother knows the owner and if he sees other together he'll trip." I said.

"Can I at least get your number?" I knew it was a mistake giving him my number but he was cute so why not. It's not like it will go anywhere.

After giving him my number he smiled at me and walked off. I started back in the direction of the gas station and I felt butterfly's in my stomach.

After the gas station I get a notification. It was a text from Vero.

Can't hang out rn. Cesar drama. Sorryyyy.

She left me on read. I started to head home since there was nothing else to do.

I finally got home and when I walked through the door I saw only my brother and Cesar but my brothers phone rang and he said "I gotta take this." Before getting up and going to the other room.

I start to take off Cesar's hoodie but he grabs my arm and says "keep it on, I like how it looks on you." He says while smiling.

Something no one knows is 3 months ago me and Cesar got together on accident. We were both drunk and he walked me home because my brother wanted to stay at Oscars to drink more.

Well me and Cesar got kinda freaky but didn't go all the way. We had a relationship on the down low, but I soon realized it wasn't gonna work. Cesar still flirts with me occasionally when he gets the chance cause my brothers not around.

It was me who decided we should stop trying to have a relationship and I could tell it hurt him but he didn't want to admit it.

"Well I'm going to Monses and I gotta shower so I'll have to take it off anyways." I say with a smile.

"Well wear it to Monses then. He says. "Don't you want it back though?" "No, keep it." He said smiling. "Come here." He said gesturing towards him.

I walked over to him and he grabbed my hands while I got on top of him. I could feel he was hard. He kissed me and I kissed back.

We heard the door down the hall open and I quickly got off of him. "I'm gonna go shower now." I said cause I needed to get to Monses soon.

After getting out of the shower I went to my room and changed into a cropped black shirt and dark blue ripped jeans. I remembered what Cesar said so I put his hoodie back on, grabbed my phone off the night stand to text mine when I seen a text from Vero.

Hey I'm really sorry for canceling. Maybe we can hang out tomorrow??

I decided to ignore her even though I knew I should probably hear her out. I just wanted to go to Monses anyway since I didn't wanna say anything about me and Cesar accidentally. But then I seen another text from someone.

I rolled my eyes but smiled at the same time and swiped out of the chat and switched to me and Monses messages.
