"You have to admit he was cute. Not even twenty minutes in Ireland and you've already met your husband" Lucy exclaims sticking her tongue out at me
"Oh shut up" I groan rolling my eyes once again.
We stand and watch the numerous bags travel around the rotating ramp. Multiple unknown bags pass by while we wait.
"Oh up ahead! There! There!" Lucy squeaks beside me her hand flailing around.
I peer ahead and I see my big purple suitcase traveling down the tracks towards us. I manoeuvre my way through the people to get to the front and try and grab my bag. I reach out and grasp the thick handle and tug with hard force to lift it off.
Wheeling my heavy luggage away back to where Lucy was standing. I look around confused I swear she was just here a minute ago. Glancing back I see her laughing with some tall figure near the tracks. Her cheeks are red and she's playing with her hair. Ugh she's flirting.
"Lucy!" I yell impatiently
She peers over to me smiles holding up her finger to justify giving her a minute longer to talk.
I sigh and tap my heel. Finally she comes skipping over with a reddened cheeks and bright blue eyes.
"Who was that?" I ask chuckling
"William" she proclaims with excitement
"I couldn't lift my bag so he helped me" she grunts rolling her eyes to the back of her head to prove how smitten shes become
"Kat come on, did you see that face? He's gorgeous"
"I'm sure he was. We have to head to the B&B" I urge
We call a cab and wait in the dark outside the front doors.
Only five minutes of waiting in this chilly wind when the yellow cab pulls up in front of us.
We give the drivers the directions, and were off.
It's too dark outside to see much only the road ahead that's illuminated from the headlights that show bits of green grass.
"Thank you" I reach over and grab her warm hand
She squeezes me fingers in hers and gives me a warm smile.
"Honestly I don't know what I would have done if you weren't here. Not only here but before with everything" I whisper sincerely
We pull up to a little grey house. Not much to see because of the lack of light but the front porch light is on just illuminating the steps.
The cab driver pulled our bags out of the truck and went on his way.
"Ready?" I whisper glancing over at Shianne with a worried smile.
A little tiny old lady comes bursting threw the door. Her red curls pulled back into a loose bun. Bright blue eyes and wrinkles from many years of smiling.
"Oh hello" she chimed in with a bright smile.
"Come in darling come in" she holds the door open as we walk inside.
It's a small house plenty of pinks and purples.
"My names Shelagh. Are you must be Lucy and Kathleen?"
"Yes I'm lucy" she holds out her small palm
"Oh darling we hug here" Shelagh reaches out and takes her in an embrace.
"I'm Kathleen" I comment with a shy smile as I lean down into her hug. She's a small woman her head sits just over my shoulder.
"Welcome ladies. This" she gestures around the room "is now your home. My husband is out but feel free to explore" her care free Irish accent sparkles, its calming.
