It was raining cats and dogs when Kagami was in the car texting Marinette that she was coming to the bakery with super excitement.

Marinette - Amazing!! I'm waiting for you!

Kagami saw the text and put the phone on her chest with a smile and daydreamed of the day the whole ride.

"Tatsu, we've arrived. It's here."

"Have a nice day, miss." Said Tatsu.

Kagami sighed and got out of the car. It was just the moment when Marinette came running to Kagami with an umbrella, holding her arm.

"Hii Kagami!"

"Hello Marinette" she said with a surprised face.

"The umbrella was a must, the rain is fiercely today." Marinette had the need to explain.

"Thank you." She replied.

They walked into the bakery together arm in arm, half wet. When they came in they giggled looking at each other's wettened hair.

Sabine came to the girls with a tray with two hot mugs of coffee on it.

"Welcome Kagami. Here, this will warm you two up."

"Thank you so much, M'am." Kagami replied.

"We can get to my room now if you want to. My mom would bring up the croissants later."

"Sure" She said to a thing she was, in fact, not 'sure' of at all.

Marinette acted first as they climbed up the stairs to the upper floor. When they were in Marinette's room Marinette took Kagami's coat after she took it off and hanged it up on the hanger on the wall, next to her coat.

"Croissants!" It was Sabine with an another tray in her hands.

"Thanks mom." Marinette said with a smiling face and took the tray from her, put it on the desk.

Kagami tasted one first.

"Oh God, you were right. This is the best croissant I've ever had. It tastes... delicious, scrumptious even." She said after taking a bite from it and continuing to do so speedily afterwards.

"I know right, you are so sweet. I... I mean they are so sweet." She said, stuttering. Marinette and Kagami both reddened.

"Thank you" Kagami said jokingly after a few seconds long tricky silence.

There went an another one of that delicate silence. They were both sitting on the floor and looking downwards, waiting for the other to say something.

Breaking the silence Marinette opened her mouth.

"Kagami... Today, I actually not only wanted to eat up and spend some time with you which would be really all i could ever ask but also wanted to talk to you about something."

Kagami's heart skipped a beat hearing this from her. What could it be? Did she do something wrong? Was she going to say her to stay away from her? It could be. God she was so stupid to ever being hopeful about their friendship. She knew it, she actually hated her didn't she... Who wouldn't...

Kagami looked up at Marinette's eyes to only catch them looking at her. Marinette moved her hand on the floor slowly on the floor towards Kagami's. Their pinkies touched quietly.

Kagami panicked. She immediately pulled her hand back to the coffee mug taking an another sip from it. She looked inside the mug, her mind rushing from one thought to another. She was almost going to tear up. This could be the last time she was this close to Marinette.

"I'm sorry, Marinette." she said after a silent moment.

"Huh?" Marinette was confused.

"I'm sorry for being the way I am, Marinette. For being selfish, not being there for you when all those happened with Luka. Not responding to all your efforts trying to be friends with me."

"Kagami..."

"Not being normal enough for nothing. For being tiring. It all must be exhausting for you..." Kagami continued.

"Kagami stop." Said marinette almost angrily.

"You've been bearing with me for so long and..."

"Kagami I am..."

"And what have I done for you. Was i ever even..."

"Kagami I am in love with you!" Marinette almost yelled. She started crying.

"...even any good to you..." she kept on with her sentence until she could actually comprehend what Marinette has just said.
