Jungkook was only seven years old the first time he ran away to the forest like this. The young wolf had been grounded by his parents because he bit one of his friend's arm. "It wasn't even my fault!" he had tried to convince them as he told them the story of what happened through and through for the third time. "I don't care who's fault it was or how you two began to fight Jeon Jungkook! What I am telling you is that you should never, and I say never, bite someone like you did! There are many less savage ways to resolve a conflict, and I'm sure that you are aware of the fact that biting is not one of them. You may be a wolf before a human, but we are not savage. We are socialized wolves, and a part of a pack of other wolves that cohabit together in calm and respect of each other. When we fight, we talk it out, and when the fight becomes physical, it means that the problem is far more important than the simple argument that you were having with Taehyung. You will go apologize tomorrow and there is no excuse!" Jungkook's omega mother spoke loudly with all her authority, making it clear that there was no room for any kind of argument. At this age, Jungkook was too young and immature mentally to understand half of what his mother had just said to him, but he understood the point that she wanted him to get. Still, he was immature and wanted to be right, so he ran to his room and sulked there, hearing his parents talking in the living room. "Leave him be for a while, he'll calm down and come back after..." He heard his mother's voice. His father probably wanted to come see him after he left. "You're right. Let's let him sulk for a while. When I was his age I did the same..." Jungkook huffed at the implication wanting to retort that "I am NOT sulking!" but remembering that he couldn't because he was in fact sulking and it would ruin his whole purpose. That's when the idea struck him. He decided to run from the house for a while. Just enough time to worry his parents and then come back. What a great idea! His parents would surely believe him after that! Not one not two, Jungkook was out of the window. He switched to his wolf form quickly and ran to the forest. He was quite familiar with the forest. He often went there with his mother to pick some berries while his father was out hunting farther down. He made his way on the familiar path, and when it ended, he still continued, wanting to see what there was after that. The atmosphere around him was light and he still felt safe knowing that he wasn't too far from home so he turned back into his human form. As he made his way through the trees, he started seeing more flowers around him and felt curious so he followed them, completely forgetting his first motive and picking some up, thinking that his mother would be proud to see that he had found such beautiful flowers. At some point, he arrived in a flatter area, a space with less trees and more vegetation. It almost looked like a small paradise, there were flowers everywhere and Jungkook giggled. He took out the petals of the ones he found the most beautiful, and with them, he wrote out his name on the ground. He'd learned the alphabet and a couple of words already with Taehyung and his mother. Taehyung's mother was a teacher around the pack. After a while of picking flowers and putting them in the little fur pouch that he often carried around, Jungkook looked up to see that the sun was starting to set. Suddenly, a wave of anxiety ran through his thin body. He looked around himself carefully. He dropped his pouch on the ground in shock. He couldn't recognize where he was at all. A high sound of distress left the little boy's lips. He had half the time to panic before he heard footsteps not far from himself. He was stunned in place, having no idea of what to do. The intense fear he felt having his body shaking softly. The footsteps were getting closer and closer, having tears brimming at Jungkook's eyes. But then he started detecting a familiar scent. His whole body stopped shaking and a sob of relief left his trembling lips as his father emerged from the trees with distress in his eyes. He let out a huge sigh of relief as his little wolf was there. Jungkook ran into his father's arms while crying loudly. "I'm sorry d-daddy! I-I shouldn't run away l-like this I was wrong! I was s-so scared daddy I-I'm sorry! Thank you, d-daddy!" Jungkook's father could only sigh again. There was so much he wanted to say at the moment. He felt the need to scold the little boy for what he had done again, but he knew that right now was no time to add more. Not when Jungkook was so fragile and still crying. "Let's go back home now Jungkook..." He said it softly and started walking back to where he came from with Jungkook nodding still in his arms. The little wolf raised his head to try and recognise the path he had taken, wanting to see how he'd gotten lost and how his father found him so easily. As it turns out, the place where he was earlier was actually just the continuation of their normal path, and if Jungkook had just went back a little bit on his steps, he would have been in recognizable territories again. He sighed shakily on his father's shoulder. He had caused problems again and he was not proud of himself at all. After ten minutes or so, Jungkook pulled back suddenly from where he was resting against his father. "Daddy! My pouch! I forgot it! I picked up pretty flowers for mommy" His father, once again, refrained himself from scolding him with a big sigh. "Alright we'll go get it, but we will go in wolf form because it's almost night and we're taking a long time. I am telling you Jungkook, when we will be back home, we need to talk, and there will be no sulking, and no running away, understood?" Jungkook pouted but nodded shamefully. His father put him down softly on the ground and they got into their wolf form quickly. Jungkook followed his father quickly as he ran back to the place that was no longer unrecognizable to Jungkook. When they arrived, the sun had set almost completely. "Go get it now." Jungkook's father spoke from behind him and so Jungkook went to pick up the little pouch that was still laying where he had dropped it earlier. He took it into his mouth and as he was about to turn back around, his eyes caught sight of his name that he had written in flower petals earlier. It was not the only name there anymore. Another shorter name was on top of it followed by a small petal heart. Jungkook read it out loud in a soft whisper: "Jimin?" The name was pretty. Jungkook looked around in wonder but was cut off soon as his father told him to hurry up. He was still curious but he knew to not anger his father anymore and so he ran back to him, ignoring the pulling feeling that told him to search for the person whose name was Jimin.
