Right at 7:00 on Saturday Mia was outside Charles house. Charles walked out reluctantly to Mia's bike, "Well you seem happy to be coming to this party." Mia said looking at his face, "I'm not fun at parties." he said with a grimace Mia just laughed at that, "Well you will have fun no matter what, I will make sure of it." Mia said with a smug grin.
They arrive at the party and right away they go to the kitchen to get drinks. Mia chose beer and Charles had a beer and a few shots of tequila when Mia got swept away by people. Charles didn't know anyone at the party, he didn't know anyone but Mia, so he decided to go sit on the couch and listen to the music playing but not without grabbing another shot and another beer. He took the shot quickly and chugged the beer, Charles was used to drinking because it was just something you would do where he used to live, he might have been a book nerd but he was kind of popular and he was fun with people he knew. Someone offered him another shot, this one was of whisky, but he still gladly took it and it burned on the way down. By the time that Mia found Charles again he was fairly drunk, "Hey Charles, how you doing? You enjoying the party?" Mia asked sitting next to him Charles leaned over and with a stupid smile replied, "I hate it here." Mia looked a little sad "Oh I'll take you home then." Mia said about to get up, "No not here as in the party I mean I don't like it in Tooele. I liked Scottsdale," he began to ramble as Mia sat back down, "I liked the warmth and the people and the busyness... I just hate not knowing people. I hate that I'm not with my friends and at a party where I know people." Charles finally stopped talking when the next song came on, they just sat in silence for a moment before Mia pulled Charles to his feet to dance, "oh no, never, I could never dance in front of people I'm terrible." Charles explained as Mia pulled him to the middle of the living room, Charles finally recognized the song playing "oh we can be heroes, just for one day..." And they danced to David Bowie, as they looked into each others eyes and Mia kept pulling Charles close, 'I think I like Mia.' he thought to himself, and in the drunk state he was in he didn't think and locked lips with Mia only to pull away a moment later, "Oh god I'm so sorry, I wasn't thinking, I'm sorry," he exclaimed blushing and Mia just laughed looping fingers in Charles's belt loops pulling him close locking lips with the rambling Charles once again. This kiss lasted longer than the other one. When they did pull away Mia smiled and curved a finger signaling for Charles to follow, they went up the stairs and into a room that looked like a spare room but they didn't stop there Mia opened to window and climbed out onto the small side roof signaling for Charles to once again follow so he did. "I am drunk and really hope you aren't just making me be a fling, because I might like you and you're the only friend I've made here." Charles explained, Mia just got closer in the cold air "Don't worry you're not just a fling, you're the only guy I've ended up liking after just one day because I do like you." Mia explain getting closer until they were breathing the same air, Charles could smell alcohol, weather it was on his or Mia's breath, he couldn't tell. They got so close that their lips were barely brushing until they were kissing again in the cold air and didn't break until both of them were out of breath. They heard something in the distance that sounded like police sirens, "we should go," Mia said opening the window again and jumping through with Charles close behind as they walked out the door and got four or five houses down the cops were at the door and arresting people.
