At 24 Lena straightens her hair like usual looking at her several PhD's she has hanging on her wall. She graduated high school with her masters and immediately jumped into college. Now she's a very successful and very powerful CEO. She can't really say she's complaining at all. However the only flaw was the interviews. Lena never enjoyed talking about herself even more so when she hit 21 and people began to ask her if there were any special men in her life. Regardless she has one scheduled later that day with both the daily planet and CatCo.
When the reporters arrived she was just getting back from a meeting in another office. She doesn't look at their faces as they follow in behind her. She hangs up her bag and turns around. She pauses mid sentence. She almost faints seeing the face staring back at her. Her hair still had its natural curls and the blue eyes still had the same effect. Except she wasn't doing anything related to science or math. She was a reporter. She was only half there the rest of the interview.
As soon as Kara was out of the door several swears flew out of Lena's lips. That interview happened to pertain information about a name change and the reason behind it with just a sprinkle of personal questions for the public to get to know her better. Regardless of how many questions they ask the world still claims she's in the top ten most mysterious CEOs. Kara could easily spin up some lies about Lena and get payback. She was oh so utterly fucked. Lena sighs falling into her chair pulling out a math textbook. As weird as it seemed she still did math equations from time to time to keep her mind sharp. She doesn't get nearly as much time in the lad than she would like.

Kara grumbles as she types out the article. It's not like she didn't know it was going to be Lena. She simply thought she was over it more than she actually was. She types and retypes her opening statement at least fifteen times. Fourteen of them are quite frankly rude or not true. One of them, the last one she writes, states the complete truth about the interview. All personal affairs outside. Perfect.
"What's got you so upset?" Alex asks startling Kara out of her brooding.
"The L-Corp interview was today." Kara states plainly.
"Isn't it LuthorCorp?" She places a takeout box on the coffee table.
"Name change. That's what the interview was mainly about. Plus added personal questions about love life's. Except they just assume it would be a man."
Kara only told one person about the kids their junior year and it was Alex. Considering she doubled as her best friend there wasn't really anyone to tell. She kept it a secret under lock and key. However Alex did agree that there was no hetero explanation for the kiss.
"Brooding explained and justified. Did she recognize you?"
"Think so. I dunno." Kara shrugs taking a bite of the takeout.
Alex nods looking over Kara's notes. She says nothing as she notices was factual she made Lena's answers sound. Alex just assumed it was to prevent her own personal opinion on the women taint the article.

A week later the articles were published. Lena had never purchased a copy of CatCo magazine so quickly. She skipped right to Kara's article. She read it once. And then again. It was an ordinary article. No exposing. The only out of the ordinary thing was she wrote significant other aside from special man or boyfriend when she got to the more personal side of the interview in the last paragraph.
Lena just sat there for several minutes contemplating. Lena presses a button and her assistant rushes in.
"Jess, can you buy enough flowers to fill an office and send it over to Ms Kara Danvers at CatCo. I'll write a note and send it down to be added."
