𝗠/𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹

While m/n and Paimon chowed down on the food they ordered, Amber and Aether stood together nearby to wait for the rest of the food.

M/n had made it very clear that he hadn't eaten in days, sacrificing all his catches so that the younger hilichurls could eat and grow strong quicker.

It was clear to Aether that m/n really cared about his hilichurl family. What puzzled him was that the h/c haired boy denied being Amber's friend yet he was actually somewhat nice to her.

Nice as in not threatening to kill her.

"Amber, can I ask you something?" Aether questioned, gaining the Outrider's attention.

"Sure, what would you like to know?"

"What history do you have with m/n?" Aether questioned, "I noticed that you two seem familiar with each other and after you arrived, he wasn't as..."

"Aggressive?" Amber asked.

"Yes, aggressive." Aether said with a nod.

"Well, m/n and I aren't exactly friends." Amber admitted with a sheepish smile, "To be honest, I think he's tired of me following him around all the time, I'd gotten lost somewhere near Dragonspine and was attacked by a group of slimes..."

"G-Get away! Back! S-Shoo! Begone!" a little Amber cried, slowly backing up as a small group of anemo slimes hopped towards her.

Tears pricked at her gold eyes as she realized the slimes wouldn't go away.

She could only cover her eyes, hoping that it was all just a dream and the slimes would go away. As she was losing hope, a shrill voice from the top of the mountain behind her rang out.

"UNU DADAAAAA!"

Amber yelped when something suddenly hit the ground in front of her, dust being kicked up and a wave of heat following the impact of whatever had hit the ground.

She slowly opened her eyes, hearing the sound of joyous whooping within the dust.

As the dust cleared, Amber could make out a boy with s/c skin wearing Hilichurl clothing, holding a claymore in the air.

He was bouncing around and cheering, e/c eyes bright and his messy h/c hair covered in sticks and leaves. His face was painted and Amber could see scars on his arms, and legs, plus a few on his stomach and chest.

"Mi muhe yel! Biat ye dada! Mi muhe yel! Nini-eh?" the boy stopped, staring at Amber.

The brunette girl let out a sob and ran at the boy who flinched in surprise.

"WAHHHH! THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Amber cried as she threw her arms around the boy, embracing him.

The male was stunned and could only murmur a quiet, "Valo..." in reply.

The h/c haired boy cleared his throat before speaking, "Bunny Girl human...yes?"

"Uhm, yeah."

"Bunny Girl's tribe rests in city with mill winds, yes?" the boy asked, pointing to Mondstadt.

Amber nods, "Yeah."

"Take forest path. Less slimes there. Friend Hilichurl can take Bunny Girl to her family." the boy hummed, "M/n must go to Matr now. Hunt over. We go home."

"Oh..." Amber murmured as m/n walked over to the side of the mountain and began climbing, "W-Wait! will I see you again?"

M/n turned his head, e/c eyes meeting hopeful golden ones. He raised a brow.
