Chapter 6

Harry

As soon as Maddi collapsed I felt my heart break into two. I can't believe she's started doing this again. I can't leave her. Not like this. I can't let her suffer alone. 

I walked into her hospital room and took a seat next to her bed as she slept with oxygen on and blood going into her body. I took her hand in mine and squeezed it tightly. I brought it up to my mouth and kissed her knuckles, leaving my lips lingering. 

"Why Mads? Why start up again? It's not worth it. It's never worth it. I love you so much. I'm so sorry I hurt you. I never should have left you. And now we're here..." I sighed and felt the tears build up in my eyes. First my son is in coma and fighting for his life and now my wife is suffering with her mental health issues again. I never should've left. It's my biggest mistake and my biggest regret.

"I promise from now on I'm going to be here. I'm going to sort all of this shit out. I promise. We can work this out. Be a family. I love you."

"You better mean that." A voice spoke. I looked up and saw Niall leaned against the door. 

"I do." I whispered looking back down at the beautiful woman I once called my wife. She was my entire world and I was stupid to let her go.

"Then show her. If I have her crying out for help again like this or in any other way because you have hurt her again I will hurt you. Harry I'm serious I can't see my sister hurt again. She's been through enough and she doesn't need you fucking with her emotions time and time again. It's not just you two anymore. You have four children to think of now. Put them first and don't make me say this again." Niall spoke seriously before coming forward and squeezing my shoulders. 

Liam then walked through the door with Louis. 

"Hey what's with all the tears I'm here now no need to cry Harry." Louis smirked and pulled me into a hug and placing a kiss on Maddi's forehead.

"Have you seen the kids?" I asked, "How are they?"

"They're fine. They're with Maddi's parents with Carter. They're safe don't worry."

"Good." I whisper and look back to Maddi whos eyes were scrunching up. I heard a groan. "Maddi? Louis go get a doctor." She opened her eyes and looked towards me and Louis.

"What happened?" She groaned.

"You cut. You lost a lot of blood and passed out. Why didn't you tell anyone you were struggling again? Any one of us would've flown out to help you." Niall spoke looking her dead in the eye.

"It was one time. The pressure of losing Carter is too much. That pain is heartbreaking. I can't lose him." Maddi began to cry again. I pulled her into a hug.

"Hey, Carter's strong he'll pull through this don't worry." I smiled and kissed her cheek softly.

"Mummy!" Ava shouted running into the room with Darcy and Austin in tow. 

"Mummy are you okay?" Austin asked as Harry lifted the twins on his lap. 

"I'm okay baby. Mummy was just a bit unwell. You see Mummy has problems. In her head. She feels upset a lot and needs some help and cuddles to get through it." Maddi smiled, tearing up and trying to explain her mental health problems.

"Mummy sad?" Ava asked.

"Yes. But she's trying to get better and sometimes she might be very sad which is why she needs lots of cuddles, no fighting and help around the house. Yeah?" Harry smiled kissing their heads. Darcy looked on in tears. 

"Okay. Can I get sweets now?" Austin asked. Maddi laughed and nodded giving them all kisses and sending them out of the room with Niall.

"Thank you." Maddi smiled at me. I grinned and leant in to kiss her on the lips softly. It was the first time in years and it felt just like the first time, igniting butterflies in my stomach.

"Always." I grinned and pecked her lips softly again, pulling away and taking her hand. The doctor walked into the room and smiled sympathetically at Maddi, which I knew she hated.

"Mrs Styles. You lost a lot of blood. How are you feeling?" The doctor asked her taking her vitals as he spoke.

"I'm okay just tired. Please can I see my son?" Maddi pleaded. The doctor nodded.

"Go in a wheelchair and take the IV stand. Take it easy for a few days. Your body has had a big shock. We want to keep you in overnight but we can set you up in the room with your son." He smiled.

"Thanks Doctor." Liam smiled and he nodded, walking out of the room. Louis came in with a wheelchair and helped Maddi sit in it. She grabbed her IV stand and rolled it along as  Louis pushed her in the wheelchair. 

"Oh Maddi!" Maddi's Mum came out of the room crying.

"What? What's wrong?"

"Carter. He's awake."

So I hope you enjoyed this. I promise I will finish this book and every book on this account. I haven't wrote in about a year, as I'm sure you all know my step-mum died from cancer last year and took a big toll on me and I've actually been unwell ever since. I lost my voice for 9 months and finally got it back in December only to lose it again last week. I also had appendicitis before Christmas which took a long time to recover from which I'm still not fully recovered from.

I now have a schedule I'm going to stick to. In 12 weeks I have exams which will be a time I can't write for much so enjoy up until then :)
