Around 4-5 years later than A Tragic Basktory pt.1
The gentle winds kissed Lucia's rose lit cheeks, which were cupped in a handsome young man's hands. "So beautiful, and oh, so sweet. Te amo, mi mariposa. And I want to spend mi vida with you." He whispered into her ears. Lucia closed her eyes and smiled as the young man gave her a small beso on her cheek. "Now let's go, mi amor" He smiled. "For your aunt won't be so pleased."Lucia's smile faltered as she stomped on a stone path. She was so caught up in Markus' and hers banter, that she forgot how angry she was towards her Ama. The woman who destroyed her life. "Ugh!" She yelled, kicking a rock into the trees. Lucia's face was burning with pure rage. She might've just cast a hex on her Ama if Markus didn't pat her shoulder in that moment.
"You could- stay at mines if it's still too tense at home?" Markus shrugged. Lucia shook her head and sighed lightly. "Thanks, Mark. But I'm fine. I need to deal with that old hag-" She scowled. Markus gently kissed her forehead and grabbed her hands in his. "I am here for you, Cia. Just you- Only you- Always you. And when I betray that promise, you might as well say I'm as good as my father" he chuckled. Lucia did feel a bit better at his words and nodded. His father was so evil. She didn't even want to compare the two- so she shook it out her mind by embracing her partner.
Lucia stood at the rose-painted wooden door. Markus gave her a pat on her back. "I'll be on my way now, okay?" Lucia nodded with her best attempt at a relaxed smile and hugged him. He tipped his head and then walked away. Lucia felt her heart aching, longing for him to come back. She worried he was going to leave her- and leave her with a demon aunt of all things.
Lucia knocked on the door, withdrawing her nervous breaths. She heard quick and heavy footsteps running for the door. The door flung open, and a pale woman with jet black nappy hair and steel orange eyes stood there. Ama. "Hey Ama" Lucia said, her eyes focused on her aunt's. "Luci! I knew you'd give in to your sense soon!" Ama grinned. Lucia's aunt jumped for a hug- when Lucia dodged out the way. "I don't forgive you." Lucia deadpanned.
"Your brother was lying to you, Lucia-" Ama tried to explain. "I believe my brother over my aunt." Lucia stuck out her tongue. "It's not that serious, Lucíta-" Ama tried to say, but Lucia stopped her. "It is serious Ama" She scowled. Ama sighed and shrugged. "Fine, I'll admit the truth. If you leave that scandalous boy your with."
Lucia's nose scrunched up and her eyebrows wrinkled. "Never. I believe my brother" Lucia said. "He left out some details. Don't you want to know?"
Later, Lucia felt conflicted with her choice. She needed to choose, between Love and Truth.
