The water next to my driveway
Was calmer today then usual.
More still, more quiet.
And I think it has to do with the weather.
I think the weather
Makes it sad
Like me.
And I don't like that.
So I threw a rock in to it
And it made ripples and a little sound.
And the water wasn't so calm.
I know the whole thing about H2O molecules
And they're always moving
But we can't actually see molecules
We see what they all come together and make.
Kinda like people.
We don't see the skin cells
Or blood cells or hair cells,
We see what they come together and make.
But it's different if you have a mental disorder
Your disorder is you, it is what makes you.
It is what makes you act the way you act
How you feel depends on it, your mood,
If you're hungry or full even though
You haven't had a single bite of food
Sense 5:00 yesterday afternoon.
And people hide their disorders
With a simple smile
And act like everything is okay
But in their head it is a constant battle
Between life and death
And life wins every day from
When they get up and ready for school and
When they finally fall asleep
Drowning in tears because they woke up that morning
Or something had happened
Making the thoughts worse.
Maybe the saltwater by my house is tears too.
From all the fish and crabs and seals in it.
Maybe they are all a little sad
Or really sad like me.
And the water next to my driveway
Wasn't calm when I walked past it
And I think that has to do with the angle of which I was at
When it had looked so calm and still
And when I walked past it,
The view I had
From the end of my drive way
It was full of motion and ripples
Like a person.
You have to look at them from a different view
And understand them a little
To see the truth.
Like the dullness in their eyes
Or if they have a real smile by the
Crinkles next to their eyes
Because if you don't understand
At least a little but of that person
Or thing
Then you truly won't get it at all.
