puzzle (sheriarty)

◇chapter 4◇

They both finnished trail day two and Sherlock managed to convince Mrs Hudson ,their house keeper, to let Jim stay for dinner although Mycroft was extremely adverse to it.

Jim turned on his charms and Mrs Hudson was absolutely thrilled that Sherlock had made such a charming friend , better than John she had thought to herself . She was happy Sherlock had found someone like him.

Sherlock was adement on walking Jim home after dinner planning to help clear the bathroom while there.

Two hours later they were both sat in Jims bath tub brandishing a bottle of irish whiskey, giggling about any old crap .

Jim was so close to Sherlock they were practically one being he moved close to his ear and whispered "wow youre so sexy William ... " he kissed Sherlocks cheek slopily meanwhile Sherlock was suprised at the mention of his real name . "How did you know my ........." he trailed off as jim kissed him this time on his mouth he ran his hand through sherlocks curls and Sherlock kissed back again with no hesitation . Sherlock pulled away after a bit returning to his original point  "how did you know my name ?"

Jim smirked "i have my ways , it wasnt too hard to find , after all Sherlocks just a nick name "

Sherlock nodded "it just stuck ," he sat up more before continuing "what did mycroft mean earlier?"

Jim sighed and sat up properly "I got into some trouble when I was younger , Im not exactly sound of mind as you know . And little mickey from bording school wasnt a fan . Its a shame i couldnt see you there , why were you at private school instead ?"

"I didnt want to , i wanted privacy at home so private school was the option , what do you mean by trouble ? "

"Its a shame I was there for a while , yknow father trying to get rid of me and so on "

"What do you mean by trouble ? " Sherlock persisted .
Jim just laughed a bit  face then returning to its emotionless expression "it doesnt matter , it was years ago , myc just wasnt happy "

"But -" he was cut of by jim huffing dramatically "youre very persistent Sherlock ... just leave it " Jim looked him in the eyes almost as if  warning him .
Sherlock stood up and Jim soon followed Jim held onto Sherlock as he clambered out of the bath and Sherlock tumbled out shortly after .

"I think you should stay over , in my spare room , its way to late for you to walk back half drunk " Jim had somehow returned back to his flawless demenor and didn't seem drunk at all anymore, Sherlock on the other hand was looking a lot worse and felt it too .

Jim dragged Sherlock into the bedroom opposite from his own and sat Sherlock down on the bed .
"Can you try your best to at least take off your shirt so you have something clean for the morning my stuff won't fit you ..."

Sherlock reluctantly pulled off his shirt as Jim moved the trash can next to the bed . Sherlock threw the shirt somewhere and flounced back on the bed .

Jim went to the doorway "call me if you need me , night " and with that Jim left and went to his own room getting changed into his night clothes and went to bed .

Jim woke up early like the day before this time heading to the spare room to wake Sherlock however when he entered the room finding Sherlock was already awake and in the middle of a rather heated phone call . Jim knew exactly who it was and couldn't help but let out a small laugh at the situation.

Sherlock glared at him and proceeded to reply to the person on the other line "look ... ... listen .... Mycroft " he raised his voice making it so he could get a word in "im fine , it was late and I was staying safe by staying the night .... no I was in the spare room. Yes I will see you after school " with that he hung up and looked at Jim who was leaning against the door frame smirking .

"Awww big brother worried about baby bear , shame " he widened his eyes batted his lashes and pouted sticking out his bottom lip in an abviously mocking way .
Sherlock huffed "i dont know what you did but he really doesnt like me keeping company with you " he got up and grabbed his shirt and proceeded to put it on and do it up ,shoving past Jim in the process .

Jim turned around to face Sherlock once more with a mildly annoyed expression on his face , Sherlock brushed it off and returned to his original point . "He is just overbearing since the drugs thing  its exhausting , thank got hes going back to uni soon "  he paused for a moment in thought "i gotta get my school bag from my house , i dont want you to be late so ill see you at school , okay ?" This was less of an open question but instead a conformation , Jim nodded face void of expression . Sherlock planted a quick kiss on Jims lips and dashed down the stairs and out the door.

The bus arrived at school and Jim pulled his headphones out and made his way off the bus , he noticed Sherlock waiting at the gate and strolled up to him casually .

"Sherly ," the sound of jim pulled Sherlock from his mind palace "I hope youre waiting for me " Jim placed his hand up to his chest dramaticly "if not I'll be very sad " he pouted.

Sherlock chuckled slightly "well - im actually waiting for someone else sooo ... " he said sarcastically shifting so he was ready to walk in . Jim smiled and started walking with  Sherlock soon following behind .

"Sooo ... you never answered my question last night ... " Sherlock stated nonchalantly .

Jim let out a slow laugh almost in disbelief that Sherlock still persisted "why do you wanna know so desperately?, do you not trust me sherlock? " on the last word he stopped and looked Sherlock directly in the eyes with his blank emotionless  face . Sherlock was taken aback with this action he opted to ignore it  .

"No i dont moriarty " Sherlock stated blankly and continued walking , this didnt throw Jim off at all instead he persisted to unnerve Sherlock .

"Well you should cause if you dont you might become part of the  casualties " he stated simply headed into his respective class leaving Sherlock stood in the hallway extremely confused .
