A lingering scent leaves Sherlock puzzled as the genius cannot recall where he had encountered it before. And somewhere at the end of the many halls of his palace, there will be a door, waiting for him to open it and find the answer. (Following the events of season 4 this story contains major spoilers, please be cautious) (This is a Sheriarty story, enjoy)

Trigger warning: substance & drug abuse, suicide, murder- blood, swearing, ect. Synopsis: The head of James Moriarty was a safe place for nobody. Especially not James himself. It was a place where Revolution 9 by The Beatles played on a loop and on the rare occasion- a cheesy millennial pop song would be played in efforts to drone it out- if he couldn't find any other distraction. It was a place where nightmares were buried and homicidal thoughts were hidden away, where the darkest memories reside and where he himself was desperate to avoid. How he'd managed to keep all of those horrid things to himself all the years prior to becoming the 'consulting criminal' was a mystery to him, and probably everyone else too- but the secret was that he was still holding back on so much, and after faking his death, losing his network, most of his men being in jail or dead- he had nothing to lose anymore- nothing to hold back on, no reason to be careful- and that meant only bad things for anyone who crossed his path, anyone who got in his way. Sebastian Moran- Jim's closest friend, was caught by Holmes; he was put into the most secure prison in England- Belmarsh- anyone who was anyone knew that once you'd entered that place, there was no escape, unless you were good buddies with someone like Mycroft Holmes. He didn't care much about that though; he'd burn that bridge when it came, if he lived to see it. The only reason he had resurfaced was also the only reason he found himself in the flat of Sherlock Holmes; revenge. And he was willing to stoop to extreme levels just to get it.

Jim's an aspiring photographer and somehow he convinces Sherlock to be his model for this coursework. It's a time consuming project and it means spending a lot of time together. Is Jim simply using Sherlock to get a grade or could it become more than that during the four months they spend together?

Sherlock Is Home Alone When James Moriarty Returns To Baker Street...

There is only one thing we can assure about Jim Moriarty, he's completely obsessed with Sherlock Holmes, ever since the murder of the young Carl Powers brought them together, remaining apart from Sherlock seems to be more difficult for him every time, so he doesn't, not for long anyways.

After Mycroft Holmes funeral, Sherlock decides to get absolutely shitfaced. But that's disturbed when an old enemy pops by to say hello. [Rewritten]

Sherlock Holmes takes pride in being different (and a little bit of a pain in the ass), but even high functioning sociopaths have feelings. Sheriarty! Warning, self harm in later chapters. (I'm sorry this story doesn't get updated often. However down to the nature of the story, my mood dictates when I write chapters. Hang in with me though!)
