We sat on the cliff for a while after the kiss. My thoughts were on a rollercoaster. Some were happy that it had happened and others were yelling at me to walk away now, before anything happens, I don't think I could bear to get hurt again. My heart would shatter into a million pieces, I wouldn't be able to live through another heartbreak. Last time I barely made it out alive, two days to be precise.
"Jenna?"
I flinched as his voice broke into my thoughts, bringing me back to reality.
"Yeah?" I said turning to him and smiling. He looked nervous, in fact he looked fucking terrified. "Ben? Are you okay?" I asked, concerned. He nodded.
"Um would it be okay if I asked you out?"
"Yeah!" I beamed and threw my arms around his neck. He returned the hug and we sat there like that for a while.
"I can see why you love this place", he said gazing out to sea, where the sun was beginning to set, casting an orange glow across the water. I sighed.
"Yeah, its the only place I feel safe, and at peace. You're the only other person who knows about it." I said cuddling into his side. He drooped his arm around me and laid his head on mine. At the moment I couldn't think of anything more perfect. I had the boy I loved beside me, I didn't have to face my family and I was the closest I could ever get to amelia who was lying out there somewhere, a beautiful angel, one who will stay in my heart forever.

We walked home slowly, hand in hand. When we got to his gate he let go.
"I would rather my parents didn't find out while you're here" he said apologetically. I smiled and kissed him quickly.
"That's fine with me."
He lead the way to his door and opened it beckoning for me to go first. A tall blonde woman stepped out of a doorway to greet us.
"Hello darling!" She said giving ben a quick hug.
"Hi mum, this is Jenna." He said gesturing to me. Then something happened that I was not expecting. Her eyes teared up and she rushed forwards embracing me tightly. "Oh my dear, ben told me everything. Just to know your safe here. I will take care of you as my own okay? Oh god it must have been awful!" I hugged her back and felt my own eyes well up.
"Th-thank you so much" I sobbed.
