"good morning." i woke up to kisses being placed on my face and i stirred in the bed.

"it's time to rise and shine, baby." my lovely wife said and i groaned softly and opened my eyes.

kai's beautiful smile greeted me and so did our little angle in her arms, isabella.

kai pecked my lips and i sat up.

"good morning." i mumbled.

she smiled and nodded to the breakfast tray on the bedside table. i took it up and the sight of the grilled cheese, baked chicken with bread and orange juice hits my eyes and i smiled.

this is an every morning thing.

kai loves cooking.

every morning she'd wake justine and i with a tray filled with mouth watering foods and fresh, blended juice. she still works at the bakery, five years later.

"i love you." i said and she grinned.

"i love you more."

i stretched out my arms and kai handed me isabella. i cooed at her and she gives me a gummy smile as she chewed the teething ring. isabelle is 5 months old, half human, half vampire. she looks like her mom, kai. dark skin, beautiful eyes and the same quality hair.

"good morning, my little angel." i said in a soft voice.

"if you let her kick the tray off of your lap and nasty up my sheets, you're sleeping outside," kai said and sat down on the bed.

i grinned nervously.

she wasn't joking.

i handed her isabella and started to eat.

justine had already left to drop althea at school and then head straight to work. we both work at the same place. it's a hotel for supernatural. it wasn't intact with the human world but in another dimension where supernatural would come and go often. the hotel is owned by us— kai's brilliant idea. she thought that because some people may be in need, why not help them out?

"stop that." kai said and glared at her.

"brrrrrp," isabella repeated her action and kai sighed and smacked her forehead.

"isabella in the name of jesus, chill out."

she understands what kai is saying, not because she's 5 months old.

the part vampire helps her to grow faster than average human babies.

"why you yelling at my goddaughter like that, hoe?" gabriella asked as she entered the living room.

"yes, yes, take her and leave. right now."

i chuckled as i watched the encounter.

"i was going to. no need to tell me twice." gabriella said and looked over to me, giving me a nod in acknowledgement.

"the usual. delana's usual bullshit."

i chuckled.

delana is her mate.

she found out about the vampire world about 4 years ago when delana came to visit over my place. her and kai was over and things escalated from one thing to another.

gabriella took up isabella and went upstairs.

kai sighed.

"man, she's going to make me get gray hairs." she got up from the ground and i shook my head at her.

"i tell you to let me help you out with her but nooo, i should relax and blah blah blah. baby, not because my hand barely works." i complained and kai sits down on my thigh.

"i just don't want you working up yourself too much. i did this to you so i should be making it up to you by letting you rest and don't take any pressure." kai pouted and looked at me.

"baby, the metal will leave my body soon and i'll feel better soon," i said and cupped her cheek, "plus im pretty sure you stabbed me with the stake on purpose."

"nooo. it was a mistake."

"how can you say that when you came at me?" i laughed.

"you were supposed to use common sense and dodge!" kai exclaimed.

i hummed and pecked her lips.

"you were running towards me and your breasts were just..." i made an "mm" sound and kai giggled, "i got distracted." i mumbled as i placed a kiss on her mark, making her shiver.

"i think you're just horny."

"yeah?"

"mhm." kai moaned when i gripped her ass and kissed down her chest to her breasts that were pushing out of the tank top she's wearing. i pulled down the blouse and took her nipple in my mouth and started to suck on it.

"god, you're both so disgusting." gabriella said as she walked pass us with isabella in her arms and her baby bag.

i frowned at the distraction and kai pulled up her blouse.

"you look like you packed the whole drawer." kai said and her best friend laughed.

"she'll be back in the evening. we're going out."

"alright. no harm come to my baby and no ice pops."

"no i do not." gabriella said and kai rolled her eyes.

"bitch," she mumbled, "just bring my baby back to me by 5."

gabby left and locked the door. i made kai straddle me.
