"I'm sick of this shit. Waking up everyday to text messages of you guys fighting every fucking day. I got to always deal with this shit. I'm done. I'm fucking done with it," Ramee says to both girls, standing there on the lake dock.

"Oh my god, so you're breaking up with us?"

"I'm breaking up with both of you. I'm done with both of you guys," he says again, finishing his rant.

"Oh my god, this is so shocking," Carmella says, barely able to hide her giggle from slipping out.

"Shut up Carmella," Nunu whispers harshly. The red in her face making it clear how angry she is.

"First off, how can you break up with both of us, Ramee? You're only dating me. You're not even dating Carmella," she begins. "Second off, what do you mean you're breaking up with ME?!"

Unable to help herself, a giggle slips out of her, "hehe."

"What's so funny, Carmella?" Nunu asked, turning to face her. "Want to share? Because I personally, don't find any of this very funny." Her eyes shooting lasers at the other girl for even making the sound.

"Nothing, nothing, just something I was thinking about," she replies, biting her lip to keep another giggle from escaping.

As Nunu continued arguing with Ramee, a glint from the balcony across the lake caught Carmella's eye. So that's why he's doing this today. She thinks back to the text she got from Ramee that morning, asking her to be here while he broke up with Nunu. Makes sense now.

A familiar voice that sounds far away calls out, "Ramee?"

Hearing his name, he straightens and looks back at the house. His shoulders visibly relax as he turns back around to face both girls.

"Listen, like I said. I'm done, this is all done. Alright? Cool, okay, bye," he says, pushing past them to get to his car.

"Oh yeah, I need you to help decorate a house Mella, I'll call you about it later," he says over his shoulder right before getting into the car.

"Alright, sounds good Ramee, byeee."

"RAMEE!! Get back here!" Nunu yells, but he's already turned and left. "What the fuck," she says aloud, confused and wondering why he left in a hurry. Turning to look at the house, she sees a flash of red on the balcony.

"Who the fuck is that at the house?" A mysterious red head was standing on the balcony, wearing what looked like Ramee's Dior button up.

Carmella takes this chance to tell her, "I told you what would happen when April came back to town, didn't I?"

"What do you mean April? I still don't know who or what April is."

"Nunu, girl, don't. What did Ramee tell you?"

"Nothing, he said April was a season when I brought the name up and then last time he said she's just a WuChang artist."

"Mhm, okay."

"Who the fuck is it Carmella?"

"C'mon Nunu, don't play dumb. We both know who April is and who she is to Ramee," she replied, calling her out. "Pretending she doesn't exist, doesn't change anything for you anyways."

"Is he cheating on me?" She says back, glossing over what Carmella just said.

"No, he's not," she says, seeing Nunu relax a bit at her answer. "Because he was never yours, duh." Can't let her get too comfortable.

"What do you mean?! Of course he is. He said he loved me."

"Okay but did he actually say those words to you?"

"Well...no...but he started to change. You know he did! He gave me gifts, spent time with me, consoled me when I got kicked out of GG..." she trails off, thinking. "No, you're wrong, I know he loves me."

"Mhm.."

"You're just jealous that he moved on from you."

"Oh, sweetie, I'm anything but jealous. I've moved on, I just wanted his money. A helicopter isn't free, girl."

"You're only saying that now because he dumped us."

"No, he dumped you. We weren't together," she can't help but clarify. Still not telling her that Ramee asked her to be here as a buffer.

"Yeah right, I know you've been all over him."

"Sure, if that's what you need to believe. I mean it's not like I've been dating Ming. One of Ramee's best friends," the blonde confidently says, looking at her nails. I need to get a manicure soon.

In the silence that follows, movement at the house catches her attention out of the corner of her eye.

"Remember when I told you that you could never compete with April?"

"What?"

"You didn't believe me right? Why don't you look and see for yourself."

She really didn't want to. The confidence Carmella had in her words just served to let her know that whatever she would see behind her would shatter the illusion she'd built in her mind. Part of her refused to turn around and see what might ruin what she imagined her future to be, but the other part of her knew she had no choice but to face it head on.

Squaring her shoulders and turning around, her eyes immediately locked onto the image of the couple on the balcony.

The beautiful red head, hair rumpled, still clad in the Dior shirt, was wrapped in the man's arms as he lovingly stroked her hair. The same man handing her what looked like a coffee. Seeing the coffee sparked something in her memory of that morning.

She remembered calling Ramee to ask if he had bags to clean and he'd been too distracted to answer her.

"Did you get the coffee ready? No, it has to be decaf, she doesn't need any more caffeine."

"Uh, Ramee? Hello, bags?"

"Oh what, sorry Nunu. Yeah, I have bags. I can give them to you later."

"Oh where are you? I can stop by to get them."

"No! I'll bring them to you later, don't worry. I have to go, bye."

The rushed conversation left a bitter taste in her mouth, but she had told herself he was just busy like always. Guess now she knows what he was busy with.

"See what I mean?" Carmella's voice shakes her from her thoughts. "You'll never be what she is to him - indispensable."

"No...you're wrong. He loves me, I know he does, you'll see."

Smacking her lips, Carmella can't help but feel bad for the woman so deep in denial. What is it about Ramee?

"If that's what you want to believe then fine. Don't say I didn't warn you though," she says, starting to walk away towards her car.

Pausing before shutting her door, she turns to say one last thing to the white haired woman still on the dock.

"You're not April and you'll never be April. And the only woman he cares about and loves is April. So good luck, you'll need it."
