Heyo! This was another surprisingly highly requested one and as always, it's quite unedited/rough. I tried a cheesy tea theme, but I'm not sure about this style LOL. Story is told from Emeka's POV.

__________

It was subtle, but the first time she noticed it was when they were all at UwU, eating and waiting for Ash. Until then, she'd only ever heard mentions of the famous redhead, but never talked to her herself. She was stunning with her fiery red hair, icy blue eyes and glowing skin that made her shine in a crowd. But in her opinion, what made her truly shine was her brilliant personality. The way she lit up the room with a charming smile, how she made everyone feel as if they were the only one in the world with how she focused while listening, and her compassion towards friends and strangers. She could see why every guy in the city was smitten with her. And if her eyes weren't mistaken, that seemed to be true for a certain Vice el Jefe of hers as well.

From the moment they entered the café, the Irishman had made his way from the entrance to the booth and finally around to the counter where he surprisingly ordered combo meals for the group of six, which was already odd. Add to that the way he had hopped onto the counter to wait for the clumsy redhead to put the orders together, instead of standing outside like he normally would since the café was 'too cute' for him. He was acting odd and very un-Miguel.

From where she had sat in the booth to watch as April assembled the combos, it was obvious that she was not experienced. As she fluttered from the front counter to the back kitchen grabbing every component of their bento boxes, she continuously whispered to herself seemingly trying to not forget anything.

As April ducked down behind the counter to take out more boxes, a sudden movement from Miguel had caught her attention. In a move so quick, she very nearly missed it, his hand flew out to cover the edge of the counter, protecting April from knocking her head while getting up. Then, just as quickly his hand was back by his side, and neither of them acknowledged the action.

Glancing around, it seemed like nobody else had noticed the exchange between the two. Thinking about how temperamental Miguel could be, she decided to keep it to herself for now and resolved to observe more. Particularly, after what happened when she had stirred with Clippy, she definitely wouldn't risk it.

She'd wonder if it was a subconscious action on his part, but she knew her second in command did not operate like that towards anybody. April, on the other hand, she thinks was just oblivious of it even happening.

Someone put the kettle on, there's tea to be had here.

........................

Hydra was full of unobservant tea goblins, she'd decided. Twice today alone, they'd had the chance to sip some, but instead she's watching as they do zoomies in the courtyard. For people that always wanted the tea, they somehow missed it when it was served right up to them.

Watching as the gang spread out around the pit, hanging out and winding down after their long day, she decides that she'd rather indulge in this tea herself and wait for the reactions of everyone later.

This morning, they had picked up April and Novah from the cubby to join them on their go-karting trip. Both CG babes seemed excited, since there was barely anyone around from CG that day. Even Hydra only had the four in the car - herself, Lily, Arnie and Miguel.

Knowing that Miguel was anything but a morning person, they had all avoided the front seat right next to him in the G-Wagon so April hopped in freely. If she hadn't been paying extra attention to them, she wouldn't have noticed it like everyone else, but this tiny exchange convinced her that there was definitely something between the two of them. After all, Miguel would hardly care if anyone else put their seat belts on, but before pulling away, he had leaned over to buckle April's seatbelt with the effortlessness of someone who had done it numerous times before. Not that the others in the car had noticed, but his dexterity in helping her fasten her seat belt with his eyes barely looking in her direction spoke of practice and frequency; all right in front of them!
