I'm crediting @Hannah_May_Lee for starting this Tommy and April trend, a duo no one thought of at first but now definitely need.

Enjoy!

"So I says to him right, 'Do you know who I am?'"

"Uh huh..."

"He just started running his mouth, like 'No, who the hell are you, man? You're no one special, you ain't like that lil bro'," he carried on, his story running longer than the digits in his bank account...not a good sign, that's strike one.

She nodded her head along as she listened, her fingers subconsciously tapping on the table. Unable to help herself as she grew increasingly impatient.

"I could tell he was trying to act all tough and shit in front of his buddies, but I could see it - the fear in his eyes." His hands moved about wildly as he told the story.

"Mhmm," she uttered, her face clearly displaying her waning interest. Everything had become white noise, overshadowed by the background noise of UwU Cafe. Gosh, I need to get my nails done asap.

"Right?"

He must be asking me something. "Yeah, totally," she answered, unsure if it was the right response.

Clearly not, he clicked his tongue. "April, sweetie, you gotta listen alright?" he said, sweetening his tone. Sweetie? That was strike two.

"Sorry, I got distracted! There's just so much going on," she offered, looking around the cafe to emphasize her point. But then, her gaze settled on a particular green hoodie, and she was brought back to reality.

"Well, I know one way you can make it up to me," he said, smirking suggestively. Gross. Strike three. Now how does she get out of this one...

"Uh, what do you mean?" She feigned innocence, hoping he'd drop it.

But he wasn't about to let her off that easily. "You know exactly what I mean, honey."

She was racking her brain trying to think of a way out when a familiar laugh nearby snapped her out of it. Glancing up, her eyes met his and she tried to communicate her plea for help but all he did was furrow his brows in confusion.

"C'mon, you know we can get outta here," the man continues, rubbing her leg with his foot, making her skin crawl.

"Oh no, I actually can't," she said, her mind racing. Girl, think of something!

He noticed her glancing towards someone and seemed to understand.

"Why not?" he persisted.

"I...I have plans today!" She exclaimed, hoping he'd take the bait.

"Oh yeah, what plans?" His foot still inching up her thigh.

"She's got plans with me," a deep, British voice said, interrupting their conversation. "Sorry mate. Hey, April, you ready to go?" He asked smoothly, offering her an easy escape.

"Oh yes, I am!" She jumped out of her seat. "Let's go!"

"Sorry, but I have to go," were her last words as she darted out of the cafe.

Once past the front door, a sigh of relief escaped her lips. That was not worth the money.

"So, what was that?" asked an unfazed Tommy T.
