~Meme POV~
~2am~
That night I couldn't sleep because I couldn't stop thinking about Socks and if he was ok. I kept tossing and turning for about an hour straight, until I couldn't take it and just burst into tears as I clutched my childhood cookie monster toy. I could feel my face going red as tears streamed down my cheeks staining them and dripping onto my pillow making it damp.
I suddenly hear a knock on my door, and I look over to see a sleepy Nadwe standing in the doorway holding his Monika body pillow.
"Meme, what's wrong? I can hear you crying from my room" Nadwe asks as he sits down on my bed, his only light source being my night light next to my bed on the floor. It wouldnt be that hard to hear my crying from his room as his was opposite mine, and I accidentally left my door open earlier.
"I'm scared for Socks and also Im shocked that he likes me" I tell Nadwe as I sit up to face him, tears still slowing dripping down my cheeks.
"I know, I understand where youre coming from. I'm scared for him too but they caught it before it got bad so he should be right, besides Socks is really tough and has a fairly high pain tolerance" Nadwe assures me hugging me, Monika now laying on my bed. Nadwe and I were always pretty close especially with the fact that he's in my friend group too.
"Thanks" I sniffle as we pull apart
"I know we dont always get along, but I still love you Meme, you're my big brother after all and we're in the same friend group" he says as I giggle quietly, "now I do have 1 question, how long have you like Socks for?" he asks, my face goes redder, but he wouldn't be able to see my face because it was dark
"I've been debating it for a little while, but I mainly noticed it myself this morning at school when he spoke to me" I answered blushing at the thought of Socks
"Ohh, I see, interesting" He answers "wanna know something?" he asks after a second of silence
"Ok?" I ask now confused
"ok so for like 3 to 4 months now, we've all noticed Socks acting different around you and always staring at you, not just when you speak and today Blaza finally asked him if he liked you and he admitted it" Nadwe tells me, geez I never noticed that except for today
"You guys noticed that?" I ask "oh my god" I quietly laugh again
"Yep, and all of us in the friend group have been shipping you guys for ages and now the ship will finally happen" he says sounding excited and I just giddily smile at that
"Ok don't get your hopes up, we still don't know when it will happen or even if it will" I reply shaking my head
"Oh, trust me, it WILL happen, I'll make sure of it" he says mischievously "I will tell Socks to grow some balls and ask you if he keeps backing out" he giggles
"Gosh you really want this to happen hey?" I laugh but not loudly
"ugh..Yea, the whole gang does, we've been waiting for it to happen for ages" he tells me
"God, this makes me think that you guys have nothing better to do and are placing money bets or something" I laugh quietly again
"Eh I guess, speaking of, Socks said he was gonna help you with your English, seems like it could turn out to be a pretty romantic moment" he giggles again
"Aww shut up, you dont know that for sure" I try to convince him but fail
"Seriously?! Why else would he offer to help? Like he's your best friend and all that but he wants it to be a romantic moment too" Nadwe convinces me, I guess he's right
"I guess, and if something does happen, Ill let you know" I assure him
"Good. Now I'm gonna go back to sleep because Im tired, you gonna be alright?" he states then asks
"Yea I think so and thanks" I reply
"Ok, well night Meme" he says leaving the room
"Night" I quietly say after him and lay back down, soon drifting off into a sweet slumber, thinking about Socks and imagining the moment he might ask me out.
~Socks POV~
I woke up back in my hospital room, with a breathing mask thingy on my face, and my stomach was hurting a bit still, but then it hits me like Joocie's pickup line
I had awoken from my sleeping state after my appendix surgery, and I felt so much better than I had earlier today. I wonder what time it is. I reach over to my table to grab my phone, being careful not to pop a stitch, 2am. Ok guess I have time to sleep a little longer.
I try to fall asleep again, but I cant stop thinking about the call I was in with my friends before the surgery where Blaza told me that Meme likes me back and Meme even confirmed it shyly! Omg Im so happy, and with that on my mind, I fall asleep again.

I woke up again at 8am where my dad had arrived to visit me and was told that I could go home, but I had to rest and couldn't go to school for 3 days, eh fair, I guess.
"Good morning Socks, how are you feeling today?" The nurse asks me as she bring me my breakfast, toast with jam on it and a glass of orange juice.
"I'm feeling so much better than yesterday thanks" I reply as I then take a sit of the juice
"that's good to hear" she replies as she then turns around and walks off. I decide to Dm the group server on discord and send them a picture of my breakfast, then wrote underneath
'Breakfast in bed, then I can go home, I dont have to go to school for 3 days and I just get to rest, Score'

Aww they really care about me, how sweet. I should ask Meme to come over to my place so I can help him with his English, well when I'm back at home, which should be this afternoon.
