CHAPTER 1

Jade’s POV

~Please, don’t be in love with someone else.
Please, don’t have somebody waiting on you.~

I silently sang while I was reading a book in the library. It’s our free time and I decided to be here for the time being.

Eva and Yvonne have something else to do and I don’t want to bother them.

The book that I am reading is so amazing. It’s entitled ‘The Way To Your Heart’, written by Elrye.

I don’t like romance, really, but this book just caught my attention and now I can’t help but to read it again and again.

There’s something in this book that I really want to find out, I mean the plot, the events happening in here is just so likely similar to what happened to me and—

“Rys!”

I stop reading when I hear someone shout from the distance.

I looked up and see her walking towards me. She even apologized to everyone, especially the librarian because of her sudden raising of voice.

I close the book that I was reading and scooted a little over so she can sit beside me. Her face is a little bit red. Maybe because of embarrassment.

I looked away and bit my lip to stop myself from smiling.

Her beauty intensifies when she blushes. One of the reasons I fell for her.

“Don’t stop yourself from smiling, you might die any second.” she snorted.

My lips finally form a smile after she said that. Seeing my amuse look, she glance away to hide her face.

“What are you doing here? You still have a class, didn’t you?” I ask.

She stayed quiet.

I tilted my head in confusion, but I never asked her again. Instead, I stood up and was about to put the book back in the shelf when she stopped me.

I looked at her questioning.

“Stay.” she murmured. I looked at her in disbelief.

“Ibabalik ko lang ang libro na’to.” I said.

She shook her head, saying ‘I don’t care’. I sat back and looked at her patiently.

“What is it?” I ask. Again.

She breathe out before answering me.

“There’s this post...”

I eyebrows furrowed.

“Post? What post?” I asked her again.

I saw her bit her lip. Contemplating whether to say it or not.

“There’s this post that I saw a while ago. It caught my attention because do you know what it says?” she ask and looked at me.
